I was looking through a bunch of pics the other day and was overcome with guilt for never posting them. Okay, so it wasn't guilt, it was lack of time and inclination. So here goes....very random pics of '07.
This was my life picture of '07. It was taken in Dallas right beside the place where Kennedy was shot.
Since I moved home from HQ, I've have the pleasure of grand outdoor activities!
Sometimes we have really crazy stroms. This one produced a doulble rainbow that went across the entire sky. I was bummed that I couldn't figure out how to take a picture of the whole thing.
This was one of the greatest camping trips ever! This was about the halfway point for our long hike. It's a grand view from the top!
We went to the biggest rodeo in Nebraska. I saw my excuse to dress up as a cow girl and took it. Okay, so it was just that hat. I didn't want to wear my boots and long sleeve western shirt for fear that I would burn up. As it so happened, it was cold and rainy. Grrrr....grrr....
In August, a whole crowd of us headed down to SC for a funeral of a dear friend. Much to our glee, we were able to visit Mayberry on the way home! Here's Andy and Barney!
Anna and I were unfairly locked behind bars.
Group shot of the girls ourside the courthouse.
Barney let me drive!!!
We were delighted to find that the Institute started putting their signs right on the interstate!!
Buck and Miriam moved to town in July. (YAY) This is their house when they first got it.
Craig and Esther followed their example and came in October. (YAY) This is the house they bought.
In October, one of the coolest people ever up and got married! Congratulations, Mel!! Fun times, awesome people, amazing wedding...
In November, I flew up to Washington, was picked up and taken to Idaho, after which I drove a beautiful truck all the way back to Nebraska. That was over 1300 miles in a day and a half...I LOVE driving!
This fall was the most seasonable and beautiful one that I have seen in many years. One Sunday afternoon, we raked all of the leaves into a pile and the kids dove in. Gotta love how leaves stick in ones hair...
My dog learned the new trick of riding in the wheel barrow. Anytime I would be using it to pick up leaves, he would jump right up on the top of the pile! Caio! |
