I'm sorry I couldn't post any pics on xanga from the hospital.  There should be something on the photo section here.  Take a look.  I've also tried to upload a movie, but I don't know if that's going to work or not.  I have been able to get pictures on my wife's facebook.  Her email address is kelleyoaktree@yahoo.com

Just finished watching the movie "Akeelah and the Bee," and I said to my wife, "There's something familiar about the Lawrence Fishburne character(Dr. Laraby)."  And then it occurred to me... Lawrence Fishburne looks kinda like Ken Lee.  I don't know if I said this before, or if this was brought up before, but it seemed like a familiar topic.  I'm probably just seeing things.  Anyways, miss ya, kenjamin.

Who would want to bring a baby into this crazy messed up world???

Can you imagine lil' DJ's running around?

Gosh, I hope the baby looks like her mother.

That's right folx, DJ and Kelley are pregnant.  14 weeks.  Can you believe it?  Well, can you?  A couple of months ago we were suspicious, and decided to get a test.  Well, we thought we'd get a deal and buy 6 tests for the price of 3.  First one, positive.  Okay, second one, positive.  Now we have a bunch of tests we don't need anymore.  Any takers?

Back when I was in college, my mentor DaiIk Hong, always asked me the tough questions.  In addition to these questions he'd ask, "So, are you praying for the 'one'?"  To which I'd respond, "Of course."  To which he'd respond, "So, are you praying for your future children?"  To which I'd respond, " Wha?--Well...--Whoa!"  He kind of blew me out of the water with that one.  My future children?  I haven't even been on a date yet!  Nevertheless, they were some wise words from one single man to another, and ever since, I've witnessed God answer those prayers in preparing me and changing me for the better.

One of the great things about having a pregnant wife, is in the details of experiencing change with her, specifically in this case, weight gain.  Although she gained all of 3 lbs. her first trimester, I gained 5 lbs. of sympathy weight.  This, of course, differs from the 5 lbs. I gained in the months before she got pregnant.  Sympathy weight has a better ring to it.

Excerpts from John Piper's The Passion of Jesus Christ, p.14...

It is a tragedy that the story of Christ's passion has produced anti-Semitism against Jews and crusading violence against Muslims....

True Christianity--which is radically different from Western culture, and may not be found in many Christian churches--renounces the advance of religion by means of violence....

Let it be crystal clear:  It is not Christian to humiliate or scorn or despise or persecute with prideful putdowns, or pogroms, or crusades, or concentration camps.  These were and are, very simply and horribly, disobedience to Jesus Christ....

The passion of Jesus Christ is the most important event in history, and the most explosive political and personal issue of the twenty-first century.  The denial that Christ was crucified is like the denial of the Holocaust.  For some it's simply too horrific to affirm.  For other's it's an elaborate conspiracy to coerce religious sympathy.  But the deniers live in a historical dreamworld.  Jesus Christ suffered unspeakably and died....

When all is said and done, the most crucial question is: Why? Why did Christ suffer and die?  Not why in the sense of cause, but why in the sense of purpose.  What did Christ achieve by his passion?  Why did he have to suffer so much?  What great thing was happening on Calvary for the world?
