So
after shocco i been thinking about a few things. First Shocco has a
HUGE impact on youths that go. One it helps the youths get to each know
other. Then secondly it helps them grow in their spiritual walk
especially for the younger youths b/c they are usually the ones that
get shafted by the messages. This means that usually the messages that
are spoken at church the younger youths can not apply it to themselves.
Now for the workshops, The workshops were AWESOME THIS YEAr. honestly,
When i was a youth i did not learn much from the workshops i signed up
for (its probably b /c i usually signed up late but anyhow) this year i
can see that the youths learned alot from these workshops. Good job for
all the workshop leaders.
Shocco-
When we are lost seek God and God will be there for us. However that
does not mean that we will not undergo any suffering it means that we
will not be alone as we are going through those hard times
Now
for the Lock in , wow its been a while since we had a lock in. The Lock
in turned out to da BOMB Digg a D. The events that were played were
foosball, Signal, karaoke revolution and all that other good STUFF!!! o
yea laser tag too that was off the heezie for sheeize. The main point
of that lock in was kinda to have a shocco family union type thing. It
does help b/c it gives all of us time to fellowship with each other.
Now i see that the youths are becoming more unitified . Like on Sunday
school i saw many youths talking to youths that they dont usually talk
to. i was liek WOW Praise God

Now
i been thinking about Colleges, i was talking to one of my co workers
about college and Universities and stuff liek that. One of my co
workers is planning to go to school and he actually graduated with me
but he decided to take two years off to save up money for college and
start at Georgia Perimeter.
So now as we were talking about Georgia Perimeter and a bagger comes up and says "Man i can't beleive you go to a community
College". so then i said "whats wrong with community college." He says
"uhh... its a COMMUNITy college"(just b/c someone says that we can tell
that person is an idiot). Then me and my friend were
talking and the bagger still decides to interrupt our conversation
so we asked the bagger what the capital of China was.
He replies hong kong....... enough said.
There
is actually a point to this story. So I was talking to my friend about
how A lot of people look down on individuals who go to a community
college. This is not opinion THIS IS FACT.
Example:
If you had a project to do about rats eating doggs , who will you base
your facts on a professor from Georgia Perimeter or a Professor from Princeton.
But
anyhow My other co workers were talking about Georgia Perimeter and we
were saying how the classes are small and we can actually learn
something from our teachers as oppose to a HUGE university that is
bigger class and a lot of times we have to teach ourselves the
material. (im not saying universities are bad or anything im just
saying its harder to learn in them).
Now my point is how do we measure what a person is worth?
Is it what College they go to or what they can do?
Here is another story I saw one of my other friends and he told me what college was I going to after GPC. I said “Penn State in Fall of 07'.” First reply he gave me was how did you get in that school.
So
now back to my question and Point? How do we measure a person’s worth?
Is it what college they go to or is it what they can do.
I
think many of us do critics people on what college they go to
especially if we go to a community or a university. However, does it
make a person worth more if he/she goes to a different university or a
different college? (SHOOT IF that was the case I would be worth a lot
when I go to PENN STATE look at the rank psu is at.)

My
point I am trying to make is try not to look down on individuals who go
to a college less than a university. B/c these students at this
community college a lot of times screwed up in life such as they have
like 2 kids or they just came off from doing drugs so they are trying
to get their act together. Now to be real I do respect people who go to
community colleges b/c they can do like 3 jobs and take care of their
kids and study at the same time as oppose to many of us who can barely
do a job and study. But think about it.
Now main point- how do we measure a person’s worth?
