still nauseous

omg.

did any of you see the crazy woman in the red van freaking out on the side of 18th street today? it was me. and i'm still wanting to puke from the experience. seriously.

a huge (alien) flying cockroach came in through my air vent. flew right past me, into the back where the baby was. i nearly wrecked pulling over and yanking the baby outta the back. then the search. all i had on me was an umbrella and i saw the hole it crawled into. but i still haven't found it. after about 5 or 10 mins on the side of the road, i decided to chance getting home. i got home and sprayed the hole it went into and the other hole it could possibly get out of. then i taped the holes up with packing tape so it can't get out. or at least i hope it can't. i cannot tell you how awful it will be if it decides to resurface when my older kids in the car. i'm sure we won't survive that car wreck. next step is getting all the toys/strollers etc out of the car and taking it to the car wash people. hopefully it will get scared out.

can you fog your van? i'm so tempted.

seriously, it was bigger than my thumb.

nerd alert

so, i taped idol gives back last night. and when i say tape, i mean tape. literally. we aren't cool enough to have tivo/dvr whatever. heck, we are the only people on earth who still don't have cable. anyway.... i watched it today, fast fowarding through 90% of it. but there were two performances that really stood out. first, fergie performing barracuda with heart was pretty dang cool. ann can still sing! i used to not like fergie, but she's growing on me. and the second was the finale. the top 8 sang "shout to the lord". while i'm sure it was lost of some of the singers, hearing a "worship" song on ai was pretty cool. of course, then ben stiller walked out and dropped at least 3 f-bombs. that's when reality set in for me. oh, and i watched jimmy kimmel roast simon. that was funny.

Attn: all Netflixers

In case you haven't noticed, Netflix has much improved their "Instant watching" section. If you don't have Netflix, I'll explain. They have a new section on their site that you can watch movies instantly. Just click the Play button. But up until recently, you could only find crap movies there(ie- bad horror, awful acting, or just really old stuff). See, they don't let you watch just anything, they have just a small selection. But, all that to say, they have started putting up better movies. And, I've been watching them all weekend. Here's what I've seen:

King of California - a fabulous movie! Everyone should see it!!!
Vanity Fair - good, long, slightly sad
The Good German - awesome for those who love Film Noir, which I do.
Driving Miss Daisy - I saw this for the first time, and I couldn't believe I'd never seen it! I can't even put it in to words how great it was!
The Contract - decent Cusack film.
Gracie - tear jerker, and I usually don't like that, but this was very good.
Holiday - an old favorite Katharine Hepburn film I hadn't seen in years. funny stuff! (may watch Bringing up Baby today! hehe)

I've also seen a few other movies recently, while I'm at it:

War - Jason Statham and Jet Li, how can you go wrong?
Chaos - Jason Statham. love him, good movie.
We Own the Night - good. definitely worth seeing.
Bee Movie - haha! pretty funny.

Should get Revolver tomorrow.  can't wait to see that one.
