Someone is bugging me to update my site so I guess I better.  I don't know what the big deal is.... it has only been what, 6 months since I last updated?  What could happen in 6 months?  A lot!

We are finally settled into our new house and I love it!  I loved it in the summer because it is right across the street from the pool.  And I love it in the winter because we have so many windows and can look out and see snow covered pine trees.  It kind of reminds me of Narnia.  We are practically the only house in our 'hood that put up Christmas lights.  Oh well, easier for the pizza man to find our house then.

We made Christmas cookies this past weekend.  It was really fun.  I haven't cut out and decorated sugar cookies in years.  And I haven't had a real Christmas tree in years either.  I am really enjoying this Christmas season -- especially because Vanessa and I can now enjoy it together.  Fuck you, JC Penney's -- our lives are so much better now that she isn't working there anymore.

We have set a date for our "wedding ceremony".  It is October 7th.  We have a lot of planning still to do before then.  But it is going to be great!  And we're planning on going to Provincetown, MA for our honeymoon.  It just so happens to be Women's Week that week.  yay!  Can't wait to see Suzanne Westenhoefer again.  And I am so happy to have found the one woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.  She is the love of my life and I couldn't ask for anything more.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.  I feel so blessed to have a beautiful, sexy woman in love with me, the cutest dog in the world, a beautiful new house, and a great family (including in-laws).

Our dolphin trip was out of this world.  I have never had dolphin encounters with so many dolphins before!  At one time there were at leasst 25 spotted Atlantic dolphins playing around our boat.  And I am so glad that I finally got to share this with Vanessa.  She has heard me talk about the trip before but it is nothing like actually experiencing it.

And now we're getting ready to go to Los Angeles this weekend for Gay Pride.  I can't wait!  I haven't been back to LA for Gay Pride in many years.  This is going to completely blow Vanessa away.  While Kansas City's Pride parade lasts about 10 minutes, the parade in LA goes for over 3 hours!  And there are hundreds of thousands of gay people at the parade and festival.  And of course we will have to go visit Venice Beach again while we're there.  Amazing....last week we were in the Atlantic Ocean and this weekend we will be in the Pacific Ocean.

We are moving to the new house in Olathe in just a little over two weeks.  I am very excited about that but then again sad to be leaving the house I have been in for 11 years.  I have to remember that the house is an inanimate object but it's hard not to think of it as a family member or something.  It's stupid I know, but I feel sad for it that I'm leaving it or something.

I never want to move again!  This is so stressful.  Now we're in the process of selling our current house.  It has been on the market for less than two weeks and my real estate agent is giving me the impression it is a dog or something because it hasn't sold already.  We dropped our price yesterday nearly $10,000.  I don't understand it.  We have a great, beautiful house!  Why isn't anyone buying it???  Every person who has ever come to vist me has commented on how beautiful my house is and what a great neighborhood it is in.  So what is wrong?

On the upside, it is just a little over a week away now until Vanessa and I go to the Bahamas for our wild dolphin swim trip.  It will be great to just lay out on the boat out in the ocean the entire week.  I can't wait!

Do you ever wish you were a tampon?

We are getting very close now to listing our house on the market.  Just waiting for the guys to finish the basement and we'll probably put it on the market Wednesday or Thursday of this week.  I can't wait to have this over with!  The house across the street sold within a week.  I am so excited!

In other news, Vanessa has a bum foot.  Something is wrong with it and she can't walk on it.  She goes to the doctor today.  I really hope it is something that can be easily fixed because we have plans to go swimming with wild dolphins in 4 weeks.  She needs to be able to swim - and not have a cast on her foot!  But more importantly, she needs to be okay to work since she is on her feet all day long.  And I hate it when she hurts.  It just breaks my heart.
