i grew up reading dragonball, so even thought i know it's not the best comic out there, i will always love it. anyway, some famous manga artists drew dragonball in their own style as a tribute to dragonball. here are a few of my favorites:
i couldn't stop cheering when i saw this guy. seriously. i know there was a korean guy on american idol this year (paul kim?).. but this guy gets my vote.

remember a night at the roxbury? i just got ROXED at ivar this weekend. (i made that term up. maybe it should be roxburied? or rox0red?)
you know how will ferrell and chris kattan do that dance where they bounce someone between them? i always found that hilarious, until it happened to me. yeah, i got bounced repeatedly between a bunch of girls. not too bad? it was between 7 fat girls. and they weren't just any 7 fat girls, they were like the united nations coalition of fat girls. there were two mexican fat girls, two black, one white and two asians.
so i was dancing, having fun, and my friends motioned to me that they're going to go back to the vip area. i told em i'll join them later. little did i know that i should have left with them. i turned back around to see that the spaces my friends had been in were now occupied by a few huge women. i'm a big guy, almost 6'2", and i honestly felt small among the massiveness of these girls.
the dj mixed in some popular song and the crowd roared and surged with movement. i got shoved by a belly or a boob (i don't know which) and got knocked into some girl dancing in front of me. she wasn't facing me, but she just pushed back with her badunkadunk and i got knocked back into the girl who had pushed me in the first place. i had had a few drinks in me by now and it was hard for me to regain my balance while i was being bounced back and forth.
the little free space i had around me grew smaller and tighter as the dance floor got more and more packed and soon i found myself surrounded by 2 or 3 groups of fat chicks who were all shaking and grinding, and inadvertantly shoving me from one hungry hungry hippo to another.
i think i know how it feels to be the pinball in the top part of a pinball machine now.. you know how it gets stuck up there and just bounces around between those bumpers over and over?
sigh, i finally made it out of there with my life and body intact, and another crazy story to tell.
on another note, support my buddy alex's (and michael's) new urban street wear brand -- KALLUSIVE (http://www.kallusive.com)
personally i love the white rising sun hoodie. support 'em ya'll.
i hope everyone had a good valentine's, or at least had fun with your single friends.
i got my gf flowers, and then for lunch i drove to her work to have lunch with her. before lunch, i bought this really big heart shaped balloon to give to her when i showed up at her work. it was pretty big. so big in fact, that it wouldn't fit into my car. it wouldn't fit into my trunk. so i put the top down and tied the balloon down to my passenger seat.
i got a lot of "awwww" looks from women as i was driving, but then.... the wind started blowing really hard while i was sitting at a red light and it tore the balloon off the strap and my balloon floated away into the sky before my gf even got to see it. everyone sitting at that intersection was looking up out their window watching the wind take my valentine's balloon how sad. it wasn't cheap either. i told my gf the story and ended up just giving her the strap with this sad look on my face, but luckily, she thought it was a hilarious story.
after work, we had peppino's (lake forest) for dinner and then just made it a blockbuster night. hehe not as fancy as some other valentine's day plans out there, but it was nice.
lee ahyoomee (이 아유미), 23, singer. she was born in japan, but is korean. i only discovered her recently, on the SBS show Xman. she has a japanese accent. i also don't like girls that talk all cutesy like her, but eh. she has cute eyes.
cute!! agree/disagree?
here's a video of her on XMAN, playing dangyunhaji against park myung soo
i don't know why i love ktown clubbing so much. i was thinking about it the other day and i think it's just the fact that there are so many terrible dancers that i look pretty good out there. i love how fob girls dance though. it makes me smile inside.
i was also thinking about all the crazy waiters i've met over the past few years of ktown clubbing. i wonder if they get to choose their own nicknames.. some of them have the most ridiculous names taken straight out of american gladiators and saturday morning cartoons.
you have your macho names like lazer, blazer, and neo.. then you have the waiters with the cutesy names like tigger, snoopy, and carebear. okay, i may have made up one or two of those names.
if i were to become a waiter though, i would totally have an awesome name. nothing cute or anything that can be mistaken for a new pokemon. oh man i just thought of the perfect name: !xobile i went booking for the first time. while my friends have gone booking before, personally, i've never done it. i usually go with my gf or at least paired up with a friend of mine, and never have asked for anyone.
anyway, this weekend i was the odd guy out and the hyungs i was hanging out with booked a girl for me. she was cute, about 5'2" (we stood up and measured each other. gay, huh), and was friendly.
her name was eunjoo. we had a nice conversation, made some flattering remarks to each other, some small talk about work and where we live, sang a bit (we were in the private room), and then she asked me how old i was.
"soomool dahsut.." (25..).
her lips pursed as she seemed to try and figure something out. "what year is that?" she asked as she poured me another shot.
"pahl ee." ('82).
she choked on her drink. she was 31.
i've always wanted to go to express. for those of you that don't know, it's a ktown club frequented by 30+ yr olds.
i was really excited about going there for the first time -- i had visions of ahjumas fighting over the young, virile me. haha that's kind of sick. i suppose i was a little disappointed(?) when i got there though. many of the girls looked young and hot. that's definitely a good thing, but it just wasn't what i expected. i guess if you think about it, there are a lot of girls in their 30s that are totally hot.
ahjuma club + booking = one interesting night.
she seemed a little uncomfortable after finding out i was 25, and soon after asked if it would be okay if she left, but it's all good.
eunjoo ssi, you're still cute for an ahjuma lolllllll
if i don't get any more opinions about the girls i post, i don't think i will be continuing it anymore. why did only kim ok bin get all the love and nobody else? but i'd have to say, kim ok bin is a total hottie. i've been trying to introduce girls on my xanga that aren't so popular yet.
today's beautiful girl is lim jeong hee, 25, singer. she's not as pretty as some of the other young talents out there, but i dunno, i just like her style. critics have likened her to alicia keyes - i think they have a similar sense of style, but in terms of vocal range and ability, lim jeong hee can't even compare to alicia. ah well.
cute! agree/disagree?
here's a video of her in joosuc feat. lim jeong hee - hip hop music.

few gifts can be considered truly terrible. yes, there are bad gifts, and gifts that are not so thoughtful, or maybe simply inappropriate. but terrible? dear readers, i have received my share of bad gifts over the years, but this year (2006-2007) seemed to be especially bad. don't misunderstand, i totally appreciate these gifts, but sometimes you just gotta wonder... why?
here are just a few of the gifts i've received recently.
colon-pure. a clean, healthy colon is the key to a colorectal cancer free life, and if only for that reason i will use this product. but it's still a weird gift. thank you? no really, thank you. you just saved my colon... and my life.

ceramic pigs from mexico. three of them! a mama pig and two baby pigs (piglets?). i keep them around to decorate my desk at work, but i never let the piglets face me directly. the mama pig isn't too bad, but the baby pigs... it's their eyes... oh that painted face of horror. each eye is looking in a different direction and honestly, it scares the crap out of me. and do pigs have eyebrows???
---------
in korea there are all sorts of knock-off brands like..
ABIDAS ,
HIKE ,
SQNY
------------
sometimes korean ahjumas will get you a fake brand thinking it's the real one, and you just have to accept it graciously -- i mean it's not like the ahjuma is trying to jip you. the gift is well intentioned and should be received so.
this past weekend i got one of these ahjuma gifts. you know, the best part about it is "the pouch"*.
what kind of brand name is this? i wonder if the ahjuma was trying to tell me something??
edit: NSFW (NOT SAFE FOR WORK) below.. do not scroll down if you are at work or do not want to be extremely turned on
* - "the pouch" : designed to prevent unnecessary discomfort from ball bouncing. kid tested. mother approved.
oh god i know this pic is going to resurface like years later and ruin me.
the next beautiful lady in our ongoing game is fukada kyoko (深田 恭子), actress/singer/model, 24 years old. i first discovered her in high school, and remember being really eager to watch her in the joint japanese/korean drama "friends", which she starred in alongside won bin. ahhh kyoko.

i read that this guy (spacecoyote) just got hired to create a simpsons in japanese anime style

so what do you think? for me, it feels like a totally different cartoon.. bart doesn't look as mischievious, and lisa looks a lot sluttier. but those twins still scare the crap out of me. and to continue the game: this is go ah ra (고아라), tv actress, 16 years old (17 in february).. hmmmm she's a little young . she stars in SBS drama series Snow Flower (눈꽃).
