http://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugustLatest Xanga weblog from dougdaysofaugusten-us60http://s.xanga.com/images/xangalogobutton.gifhttp://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugusthttp://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/551331428/thanksgiving.htmlhttp://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/551331428/thanksgiving.htmlTue, 28 Nov 2006 09:41:38 GMT<P>We had a somewhat non-traditional Thanksgiving this year.&nbsp;&nbsp; I wasn't sure of having a welcome at the table I've eaten at for the past 12 years and I had made plans for Colin, Dan &amp; Marlene to come up.&nbsp; Dan got&nbsp;a new job and Colin had to work on Friday so it worked out I really didn't have plans for Thursday.&nbsp; Alysha told her mom that she wanted me to be there so I went over a little after noon on Thursday and wound up spending the rest of the day and evening there.&nbsp; Matt and I went out about 4:00 and did some target shooting with my pistol and a 16 gauge shotgun I had borrowed for deer season but the rest of the time we were all&nbsp;together at the house.</P><P>Friday I worked all day.&nbsp; Saturday was Alysha's 21st birthday so they all went over to TC while I was at work .&nbsp; Colin, my Mom and Dad and I had our thanksgiving dinner together on Saturday afternoon.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then Colin and I went over in the evening and gave Alysha her cards and spent quite a bit of time there.</P><P>Sunday we went back over there to say goodbye.&nbsp; Matt left first and Colin not too long after that.&nbsp; Alysha took a nap so she and Aaron didn't leave until a little after 3:00.&nbsp; After Alysha left I stayed and Barbi and I had a serious talk about where we really want to wind up.&nbsp; I don't think either of us really want a divorce but we aren't remotely interested in staying on the path we&nbsp;were on.&nbsp; How to change and What to change are the big questions.&nbsp; I didn't go home until 10:30 and we pretty much talked the whole time.&nbsp; I'm not certain how to go about becoming friends again but I know that it is the only outcome I want.&nbsp; Please be praying for us.&nbsp; We are entering uncharted waters with much fear and trembling.&nbsp; It might be easier to just stay stubborn and let the divorce proceed, but will the outcome be as sweet?&nbsp; Will it be the outcome God wants and is honored by?&nbsp; I'm thankful we are at this crossroads.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Doug</P><P>&nbsp;</P>http://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/551331428/thanksgiving.html#firstcommenthttp://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/550256050/what-i-have-to-write-something-too.htmlhttp://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/550256050/what-i-have-to-write-something-too.htmlFri, 24 Nov 2006 12:33:47 GMT<P><A href="http://www.xanga.com" target="_new">Xanga</A><BR><BR>I really only started to fill this out so I could respond to something on my son in law's Xanga.&nbsp; There is a lot going on in my life at this point and I don't know where to begin so I'll just post things as they come to mind.&nbsp; Alysha and Matt are home for Thanksgiving.&nbsp; Alysha wanted me at the house for Thanksgiving so I spent the afternoon over there yesterday.&nbsp; Went out to a shooting range with Matt for an hour or so,&nbsp; many small rocks and plastic items will not threaten our way of life here again.&nbsp; The kids are great.&nbsp; Aaron is up too and I was glad to spend the time with them.&nbsp; Colin will get here late tonight and we will have turkey with my folks tomorrow.&nbsp; Alysha, Aaron, Matt and Barbi are going over to TC tomorrow to celebrate Alysha's birthday at Auntie Pastas.&nbsp; Don't know if I can make that too or not.&nbsp; I have to work mid day at the office.&nbsp; I'm playing with the worship team on Sunday if I make it to 8:00 am practice.&nbsp; I love to do that.&nbsp; I should make it.&nbsp; Perhaps Colin can sing.&nbsp;&nbsp; I don't know who else is going to be there.&nbsp;&nbsp; Doug</P> <P>&nbsp;</P>http://www.xanga.com/dougdaysofaugust/550256050/what-i-have-to-write-something-too.html#firstcomment
