hey everybody, yeah I know shocking.... I'm finally posting, and yes I'm a bad bad Xangarer guy... so as you can see I have gotten a brand new Tacoma DR38, my parents have gotten it for me for Christmas, so I just really want to say thank you so much mom and dad. I haven't played guitar for like 5 years because I got so tired of my old one and did sound good so I wasn't feeling inspired at all but this one is awesome. Its solid rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top. So I'm pretty happy...

| its been a long time since I've posted. But I'm back now and ready to post. Thanksgiving went better then I thought, when Tiff got off of work we went out to a restaurant to get some turkey dinner because she didn't have time to cook and I suck at cooking. So we had a good time just hanging out. Only 2 and half weeks left of this semester then on to christmas.

| The Gibson factory was SWEET!!! We took a hour tour throughout the place and saw how they make the quitars from start to finish. They have 75 people who work there and they put out 30 guitars a day. That factory is where they make all of their solid body, f hole, and hollow body electrics. Most of the work isn't done by automatic machines but done by hand. Paint was done in a spray booth with spray guns and they use 9 to 12 coats of laquere. The whole guitar, including the neck is glued together, and the neck has a metal rod through the center. The coolest part that I heard about was the necks on the guitars come in a very basic roughed out shape where the grip part of the neck is practically square and there is one guy who stands there and shapes it using a huge belt sander, I thought they would get it down to a closer shape but nope, and only one guy does it. So it was pretty cool and I really enjoyed it.
We're still in Memphis and we're going to graceland tomorrow to check out the King. and yes, everyone referes to Elvis as the KING.
this all makes me really not want to go back to school. | | |
| I love King of the HIll. my favorite line right now is "Bobby, if you weren't my son, I'd hug you" well I thought it was funny.
So we're going to Nashville this weekend to meet up with tiff's parents to pick up her brothers and sisters. Jake you'll like this, we're going to take a tour of Gibson Guitars factory, never been a fan of their guitars but it'll be cool to see how they're made.
Peace out ya'll | | |
