http://360.yahoo.com/xdreadpiratex

Yep, I have no idea exactly what it is, but I now have a Yahoo! 360.

I also have a Flickr account [http://www.flickr.com/photos/38125113@N00/] that I have had for quite a while. I have posted only my ebook covers there for public preview.

And of course I have the following websites for your personal viewing pleasure.

www.dreadpirate.info

www.authormm.info

www.dpebooks.com

The interesting thing was that I knew nothing about the internet, PCs or any such thing…in 2001 when I started to blog here on Xanga. Once I mastered the web log, all things it seemed became simple for me. I went from blogging and jumped directly into developing and web mastering my own websites. While many may say my efforts are not fruitful (I have not realized profit) I say that learning is a grand payment. Further, I do not have to pay others to build, change, host or web master my websites! You have no idea how much cash this can save you in the long run.

The other website I have is:

http://www.authorsden.com/dreadpirate

This is a pay for service website and while I have had a huge amount of traffic go through this website (I personally like the audio message!) the cost and time incurred have not equaled a single ebook sold or given away for free. That is not a good thing. I have contacted the owner the site and told him this, and asked that my pay status be reduced down to the free status next billing cycle. Some things look great, but don’t put cash back into your pocket. That is not a good thing!

Why am I telling you all of this mumbo-jumbo? Well, many self-published authors and writers read this blog and ask me questions off the site via email. I think that sometimes, sharing what I have learned will help others. The primary thing I have learned is:

Free advertisement beats paid advertisement hands down.

Don’t pay someone to do something you can do!

Sail on… sail on!!!

The featured question asks…How large of a role does patriotism play in your life? They are joking right? Right???

I didn’t think so. Oye.

I have a life because of patriotism, therefore, patriotism is the cornerstone of my life. Sure, we can step back to colonial times and say that our Founding Fathers made this country. But the fact of the matter is, it has been “saved” since that time, over and over to be brutally honest. World War One veterans saved the United States from speaking German. Again in World War Two veterans kept me from speaking German, Italian and Japanese. Most recently, a bunch of zealot ragheads flew commercail jet planes into the twin towers (high profile target, no strategic value) hit the Pentagon (most of you have no idea that this in itself is an act of war against the USA) and attempted to hit the White House but was foiled by the highest form of patriotism, those who gave their life so that others may live freely.

How large of a role does patriotism play in my life. Well, in 2001 the United States of America was attacked by a group of Islamic Extremeists. Thanks to a very large number of Amerian Patriots, I am free today.

No, I am not talking about the Senators, Congressman or any of the three branches of government (can you name them?) that ran for their lives instead of holding their ground and serving “We the people…” I am talking about those who ran to the fight. Firefighters, Policemen, volunteers who would not leave, Ham radio operators who set up their “posts” all over the US so that if the gid went down, the government could still have coms, those who stood their ground and most of all, every individual in the US military who rose to the fight and deployed to destoy those who would destory “We the people…” Yes, those are the patriots and that is true Patrioism.

What part of my life does it play? I have a life because of Patrioism.

I live free due to the patriotic acts of great American men and women.

I have sent over 300 care packages to them since 2001.

How many have you sent?

Why not send one tomorrow?

USA Troops Aide.

Why not be patriotic and say thanks to those Patriots who allow you to live free because of the patriotism "We the people..." practice every day?

The one thing that I do not have is…well…holiday rituals. I can remember as a child my Grandmother’s having certain dishes of food, special holiday decorations or customs that were performed flawlessly year after year without question. Yet, these things have not jumped the generation gap between them and me. Regretfully, my parents were flat-line on all things traditional, holiday and fun. Moreover, my exit of the family unit abruptly at age 18 did nothing to solidify what few traditions my Grandparents did have. At age 43, I can not seem to recall, with any clarity or detail, exactly what traditions were practiced. And for the life of me, I am coming up with a complete blank for any Independence Day (4th of July) traditions.

So, howzabout helping me out? Would you be so kind as to share with me, your Independence Day traditions, rituals and must-do’s? Thanks in advance for sharing your traditions with me so that I can pirate them!

Happy Independence Day shipmates.

How to Live the James Bond Lifestyle, not just for pirates and secret agent men!

I have read the book. I have listened to the first generation cassette tape offering. I learned a wealth of information from Paul Kyriazi’s motivational seminar. Quite literally, the book changed my life. The cassette tapes made my world even more fun! When I got the 8 CD set I was very sure that he could do nothing more that would make the life lessons more exciting and more potent. Damm the man, I was wrong.

Paul has the uncanny ability to add more information to what you might think is a very well covered subject that is not only relevant, but life altering. I am on the 3rd listening of the seminar and still hearing newer, fresher and more relevant guidance than ever before! This time however, I made the decision to listen to the seminar with Hot Oriental Girl on the way to work in the morning in our carpool. I asked her if she would be interested in listening to a motivational series based on James Bond and his lifestyle. She smiled and said. “Sure! I’m game.” And thus, the odyssey started.

More than a few times while Paul has been sharing his life changing techniques with us, she has looked at me and said, “Wow…” All I can do is smile. You see, the seminar, even though I have been through it at least a dozen times in various formats, reading or listening, still wow’s me every time! What he offers is not just ideals and concepts but rock solid examples of how the technique he is talking about works for not only a guy who needed a job and landed not only a new job but his dream car as well, but gents like Frank Sinatra, Bond, and too many others to name! Its one thing to listen to a motivational speaker talk to you about a new way; it is another for someone talk to you about their approach, tell you how and why it works, and then give you real life brick and mortar examples of the technique.

Shipmates, How to Live the James Bond Lifestyle has changed my life. Further, it continues to build, strengthen and motivate me toward greater things. Yes, I have won two gold’s and a bronze, I have achieved my Baccalaureate with a 3.0 in-major gpa, I have self published ten works, I have also brought my level of life-force energy to a point I thought never possible…all with the help of this simple $30. 00 seminar. The question you have to ask yourself is this; can I afford NOT to spend such a pittance to gain a fortune?

Trust me, you will find the lessons contained in the seminar not just life changing, but so dramatically life altering that you will never regret the purchase, ever. It is a gift to yourself that keeps on giving. And for those of you who thought that only a man could be a double O agent…welcome to the future!
