  • I got this from *some* website - I forgot which.
    >_<
Anyways, I find it very meaningful and hope you will gain some inspiration/insights/whatever you want to call it from here.

"If I had it to do all over again,
I'd do it all over again -- but with less performance anxiety.
I've learned that trying to get an A at work every day makes for sleepless nights,
and you need to be rested to pursue your passion.
I'd stop saying I'm sorry all the time to defuse problems.
I'd shut down the doubting voice that kept me from speaking my heart.
I'd start taking chances sooner and asking for forgiveness later.
And I'd enjoy being a woman at work.
(I wish I hadn't worn bow ties, suits, and sensible pumps in my cute 20s.)
Take your responsibility seriously, but not yourself.
    Nurture your friendships.
    Trust your first impressions.
Look in the mirror each night and ask whether you've done the best you could.
If the answer is no, you've got tomorrow to fix it.
If it's yes, try to leave work at the office and rest your beautiful head for a well-deserved night's sleep,
ideally in the arms of someone who loves you just the way you are."

  • Happy Chinese New Year!
    Gong Xi Fa Cai!
    Kung Hei Fatt Choy!

May your new year be filled with abundant wealth, prosperity, luck, fortune and hope!!
(Ok, I realize this greeting is a lil too late, but it's the thought that counts, right? )

Will post up pictures of our Chinese New Year dinner later.
The pics are with my sis laa... >_<

Oh wow, I didn't realize I haven't been updating as much as I want.
One month flew past since I last posted.
    Oh wow wow!! @_@

Anyways, many things have happened in just one month alone!
Our company opened a new store in San Gabriel so I've been busy running back and forth.
    Fun.. but tiring >_<

I changed my phone number. I like my new number and my phone.
Ooo... I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new phone.
I'll post pics of it later.

On a lighter note, I am addicted to texting.
So addicted I changed my plan from no text messages to 200 text messages to unlimited text messages.
    -_-

Ok, it's back to work for me.
Will try to update from time to time or at least I'll try to. *crosses my fingers*

  • Looking for places to stay have never been harder.
    Man, I effin hate relocating!!
Stupid landlords and their requirements. Aarrgh.

On a lighter note though, I'm lovin' LA.
Or did I say it already?
Oh well, doesn't hurt to repeat my sentiments, eh? ^^
Lots of good foods and ooooh, I'm lovin' Tea Station's milk tea with tapioca!
    Mmmmmmm!!

I'm visiting San Francisco next week! *Woohoo!*
But it's gonna be a short trip; I mean a really short, short trip.
As in, be there in a zip begone in a zap.
I'm arriving in the morning then leaving for LA in the evening.
    Yeah, that short.
    -_-"
Man!! I thought of hanging out with my friends that weekend, but I guess not...

It's been a busy, busy week for me and it's going to get busier.
Gosh, practically no time to eat or sleep.
    But I'm liking it.
At least I won't have time to think or dream about unnecessary stuffs. >_<

Okie dokie, back to work for me.

  • Gosh, I didn't realize that I have not been updating as much as I wanted to. >_<
    Pure laziness man...

Anyways, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year went by peacefully for me.
I am so looking forward to what 2008 may (or may not >_<) bring for me!
    2007 sucked (kinda) for me.

I moved to LA (with my lil brother) last Saturday.
    We arrived safe and sound.
    My dad called and asked:
    *Eh, so nothing happened, oh?*
*-_-" What, you want something happen to us, issit?*

    I'm lovin' LA so far.
The weather's just nice ( I don't know about summer just yet, hopefully it won't be as hot as Malaysia!), the food's yummie, and the people.. well.. I don't know about the people just yet.
I've only been here for a couple of days and I am already craving for a hectic social life.
Man, it sure is hard to get to know people in a new school, let alone a new city.

Classes started on Wednesday. The inefficiency and *rude-ness* of some people (*coughJoancough*) totally made me wonder if I should be pursuing my Masters in such school.
However, I changed my mind (again!) when I spoke to the Head of the program. She's nice; so I'm satisified.
    For now.
My professor (in the one and only class that I'm taking this semester) offered to be my mentor/advisor for my thesis during my first day of class.
    Am I lucky or what?
I don't want to sound like an ungrateful brat but I am a lil hesitant in committing myself to him just yet.
I mean, what if I find someone else that is much more well suited for my thesis?
He seems very interested in the fact that I'm from Malaysia and thought we could something related to Asia as a whole or specifically Malaysia.
Oh, well, we shall see; though I am interested in obtaining my Certificate of Alternative Nutrition and surprise, surprise, the same professor created and founded the Certificate program.
