New Weblog Entry

By this time Friday, I will be back in Griffin, Georgia.  Except for graduation on Mother's Day, I will be done at Asbury.  It's kinda hard to believe, but I'm ready for it.  I miss a lot about home.  God used Asbury to save me.  I was a bit disillusioned about some things before I came here.  There are a lot of things that I don't like about Asbury, but the good things far out weigh the bad.    There are some good people here, people that will help you when you need it.  Anyway, I have too many papers to write, so this is all for now.  I'll try to give an update when I get home.

Sorry I haven't been updating.  This past semester(spring '07) has been good.  I didn't make good grades, but I passed everything.  Tomorrow I have a final in my Spanish 201 class(summer session).  After that, I'm done with all my required subjects.  I'll still need sixteen hours, but it can be from any subject I want to take.  Because I feel a bit of a call, I'm going to take Spanish 291.

I also made some good friends.  And as usual, I just started to get to know one of them near the end of this person's last semester.  It's funny how that has happened in all three of my full-time semesters here.

I've enjoyed working for Jose.  The other day I went to his church.  I didn't understand much, but the people there are really nice.  I've also gotten to know James and Elaine Hamilton.  They are good friends of Jose and are at the restaurant almost everyday.  Sometimes I sit and eat supper with them.  Prof. Hamilton(James) was my philosophy professor back during my first semester here.

Jose is funny.  Today he told me that it's not necessary for a man to look good, but to have God.  I'm not sure if I felt ministered to or insulted.

Ichthus starts tomorrow.  I won't be able to go, because I'll be working every night.  Jose says that we should be really busy.  I hope so.  What I'm making now just isn't cutting it, and money has become an issue for me.  I talked with the new custodial supervisor at the Phys Plant, and he said he might have a position for me soon.  I hope the soon is very soon, because either I'll have to find something else, or possibly move back home for the summer, and that would be a pain.

Well, that's all for now.  Maybe more later.

I have my final exam tomorrow.  I'm working at la casa de jose in town.  And I'll probably start updating this thing more, at least during the summer.

I have one more semester to go, then I'm done at Asbury College.  If your graduation date is important to you, keep up with your hours, don't trust your advisor to do it for you.

Back in August I made this post.  I found my umbrella in the front of the Library today. I hope whoever took it, enjoyed using it.

A lot of good stuff happening to me this semester.  God is good.  I don't guess I really want to go into it all here.

Well, at least right now.  Maybe later.  Sorry.  God bless.
