One more semester left.  It's now Christmas break!! I'm sticking around Iowa for a week to work then I'll be going home to Wisconsin for Christmas.  Lauen is coming to my house for a few days during the last week of break! I'm so excited for her to meet my parents and friends and to show her the great city of Milwaukee cuz we all know that's where the party is.  Luuuuv it!  Christmas break has also showed me just how much she is a part of my life.  I'm with other friends but I still feel lonely like part of me is missing.  I can't wait to see her!  You can go through life feeling great then you find that one you have been missing and once she is not there you feel empyt like part of you is missing. . . so that's how I feel without her with me. . . incomplete. I miss you so much!!!

I'm really trying to use my break to get my devotions back on track and get a good habbit going before I hit the books again.  It's wierd how hard it can be to set that time aside each day to talk with God.  It is one of the most vital things we need to do as Christians. . . It's the way we grow in Christ and become more like Him.  It's the time when we see reflect our lives against God's word to see if our lives are glorifying Him.  Somtimes it can be convicting and we don't want to change cuz we like us how we are and it's hard to give up things for Him but we must always remember that HIS way is ALWAYS best.  There is no greater peace than when we are doing his will and not our own.  Well this is somethings that I have been learning.

    Hey everyone,

Wow it's been forever since I posted.  Mostly due to business but also to the fact the Faith blocked us from using Xanga.  Yeah surprise surprise, I figured it would happen soon.  Oh well such is life as a Faith Student.  Well I guess this means that you will be finding me at the public library more often!  Enough about that and let me catch you up on things.

We'll start with my full weekend trip to Omaha.  Lauren and I went lets see 2 weekends ago.  It was a great to be away from school and with the my girlfriend who I love "soooo much."  (Let me take this time to talk about her!! She is such a blessing to me.  She motivates me when I want to just sleep and forget about homework.  She is an incredible encouragement to me spiritually.  She is the things that I lack. . . she has a passion for people that I have become callous to even trying to reach out to, she is good with dirrections, she's a morning person.  She even makes me smile and you all know that is very difficult.  She makes me so happy.  I love her so much.  I will be there for her through anything forever.) ok so we went to Omaha, I got off of work a little early so we could get there at a descent hour of the night and. . . lol.  ok sooo Through the course of the weekend I got to see the family vides of when she was little and the plays she was in. lol good times.  We also enjoyed staying up late and watching movies (Pretty in Pink and the new Bewitched) together.  We went shopping to the mall and also to a vintage shop where we tried on some pretty sweet clothes and took pictures.  It was hilarious.  Then we were off to see Kati play hockey.  (for those of you who don't know Kati is Lauren's younger sister and she plays hockey. . .how cool is that!)  We had a freez'n good time and best of all Kati scored a goal against a goalie that had formerly been on her team. . . it was pretty much like "come get some" After the hockey game we went out on our first date. . . actually like everyday is a date but this one was official and nicer.  So we were going to go to Olive Garden (her favorite) but the line was stink'n long and we were hungry so we went Old Chicago for pizza in the old market!  It was great and we had a good time.  Well we were pretty bummed out about not being at the olive garden so we could have our tiramasu (??? I have no idea how to spell that) So Lauren, knowing O.G. so well suggested that we go back and get it to go.  So that's what we did.  It was so yummy in my tummy (ok enough with the rhyming *wink to Lauren)  Well that closed our evening leading us to Sunday. . . we were both sad to leave knowing we had to go back to school but we were good people and went back (we were thinking about hi-jacking a plane to California buuuuuut we didn't).  So that pretty much brings us to the here and now.   Last weekend Kati came to see us (well actually just Lauren but I'll think positive and think that I was included in that).  Friday night I was dead tired and nothing was open so we pretty much didn't do anything.  Theeeeeenn came Satuday.  The three of us decided to skip the disgusting bruch at Faith and go to VI (for the lay person that is Village Inn) We all had a great breakfast and a good talk.  Well after that is was off to Family bookstore to get the book that Laurn and I are going to be reading together on communication.  This leads us to Jessica calling us and asking us to go shopping.  So being the type of people that love to shop we went shopping.  We had a wicked good time shopping and hilarious talks about colorful things in the car lol.  (although for some reason I had a hard time getting into their car).  So after that we met up with the CREW (I heart the crew) and went ice skating.  Yeah it was crazy.  Pretty much the skates make you skate on the side of your foot and not on the bottom of your foot.  So basically my feet hurt a lot.  But it was fun. . . I discovered that I can't skate with my hands behind my back and that Kati thinks it's funny to cover the side of your leg with ice... must be a hockey thing lol.  Sunday night we had a college thingy that incluede soup, a white elephan gift exchange and volleyball. (Did I forget to mention before that Lauen is wicked good at volleyball) So that was all good, I ended up with an orange bear a used tennis ball and 1/4 of a bottle of sun burn aloe.  Lastnight (mon) we went to Barnes and Noble and did homework.  All in all it was a good night and we had a great talk. . . my favorite activity.  Well tonight I have homework and I need to get started on my paper for Matthew.  So I'll conclude my epic.  Well I'll try to keep up with you peoples it'll be a little harder cuz I have to come to Kirkendale to check it so have a great week!!!!

  • Hey Everyone,

Seems like it's been forever since I've posted.  Well life has been pretty crazy this weekend.  I decided to go home to Milwaukee and suprise my mom.  So after work on Friday I quick came back to school to say by to Lauren, the sweetest girl in the whole world. I went over to her dorm to say "bye" and she comes out with a bag full of stuff. . . Frapaccino (one of my favorite drinks in the world), water (Aquafina of course), yummy goldfish, Recce's (the best candy in the world. . . sweet chocalate goodness wrapped around a delighful morsel of peanut butter. . . luuuuv it!), a really sweet card (I love notes like that), and best of all a little teddy bear to keep me company on my trip and remind me of her (awwww. . . ).  So now that all you other guys are jealous of the greatest girlfriend in the world. . . she's mine. . .back off! lol  So off I go on my way home to WI.  The trip is going great, I get a little tired so I take a few happy pills and talk to Lauren for like an hour. . . my phone doesn't have free nights in weekends otherwise it might have been a 6 hr convo lol.  Well it's about 2am now and I'm like an hr to hr and a half from home and I pull over for a reason I won't share on this entry and I get back in the car and my batter is dead.  I'm like what???? batteries just don't die.  So I sit there and sit there and pray and pray and see that my phone is pretty much dead and realize that it's only seimi's on the road.  I tried pushing my car and trying to pop the clutch (for those of you who don't know about this cool feature on manual cars. . . if your car is moving fast enough and your batter is dead you can start your car by turning the key and quick pushing the clutch in an out) unfortuanately I couldn't get it going fast enough so I got back in my car and finally some large construction truck pulls over and calls a tow and I"m like can you just try to jump it cuz it's just my battery and I don't want to pay for a tow truck so he gets out the cables and it starts up and off I go.  As I leave I am so excited how God answers prayer and think about what he may have spared me from. . . who knows I could have been in an accident or somthing.   Well I get home at 5ish and sleep for 3hrs then my dad comes and gets me and said my mom was up so  I walk in her room she does like a tripple take and she's shocked.  So we spent the day together doing the random family things like the Wal-Mart run the Sam's club samples lol., the go see my sis at DQ thing and grill out.  My mom made me an apple pie (my favorite) !!! and sent all this stuff back with me. . .my brother is so jealous that I get all this stuff.  So I travel back and meet Lauren's friend Sharon who randomly popped in then go to Ankeny Baptist with Lauren and heard Andrew preach. . . really good message. . . then went for a drive with Lauren . . . good times.  Then off to work till midnight, came back studied for Western Civ till 2:30 and overslpet this morning till 9:30 and completly missed romans but I feel refreshed.  Now today is monday and we all know what Monday is right class. .. .Lauren Day so I need to go cuz she's done with class and we have a fun filled afternoon planned!! Cuz it's bible conference week and I have no homework.  Yesss!!! Well I hope your weekends went well.

    Ttyl,

    Drew

About Me

  • I am a sophomore in the 2yr Bible program at Faith Baptist Bible College. I enjoy playing the guitar and use it in my youth ministry that I am involved in at church. For some reason I like talking on the phone and shopping. (yeah it's weird but true) I also thrive on hanging out with friends no matter where it is. I just got a job at PDI and am looking forward to working in the cold after pouring concrete for the last 4 summers. I love my Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross to save me from the penalty of sin and who also rose three days later from the tomb to give me eternal life with Him forever.
