hmmm...
sorry, i've been cheating on xanga.
i've got this blog on the side, you see, and it's just been getting better and better...
so although i can't say it's long term, i think i just need a fresh start.
maybe i'll come back, we'll see.

hell-ho-kitty

LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO HELLO KITTY!

I was innocently perusing the sanrio site
when this horrid tragedy burned out my eyes.
 They made her into Britney!

This other "Gothic Lolita" kitty is forgivable,
though still abit absurd. she still looks cute, right?
i have nothing against goths. just remember to pancake
your neck along with that face.

this reminds me that i was also incensed to find
out strawberry shortcake is now in overalls. i've
debated with my sis-in-law on whether i would
prefer my possible future daughter to like Bratz over
Barbie. That's a hard one.

i got a bike!

after being bugged by friends to hurry up and get a bike, i got this one for FREEEEEEEE!
i went to the Bike Oven, they were giving away free bikes this weekend. They're a co-op so they taught me to fix up my freebie. $10 for two "new" scrap tires, a whole tune up lesson and i was out the door. they're super friendly and i told them i'd tell everyone about it. their link is www(dot)bikeoven(dot)com. i'll go there to learn to replace my gear cables too.

afterwards i googled my bike and learned it's a real crapper. but it rides and heck, it was freeeeeeee! i saw a girl there tuning up a nicer bike, but she got there earlier so she got first dibs. the one i really want is the Novara Transfer, which is $600. I found one on craigslist for $250 but it was in Santa Rosa. So until I can afford a cushy vintage, i can ride my crapper around and not be afraid of it getting stolen. if anyone's as cheap as me, don't forget to read how to buy a used bike. pick a winner, unlike me! here's a guide link: http://bicycleuniverse(dot)info/eqp/usedbikes-guide(dot)html
