like most people who go to the gym, or pretend they do.. i hate working out my legs. you can get by for the most part if your upper body is sore, but not so much when your legs are. after a good workout, you can barely walk straight.. and even though walking is usually at a minimum living in suburbia, walking up & down the stairs can become quite a challenge in the successive days. still, if these were the only excuses, i think i'd make more of an effort to regularly work in legs to my weekly regiment. my real excuse is because i want to be able to drive home.
due to a minor (i hope) transmission problem on dre (my altima), i've
been driving ellie (new civic) around the past few days. although my
preference is still driving a manual, i gotta say automatics do have
their advantages. aside from the obvious ease in traffic and stop/go
on big hills, returning from the gym or after all-day softball
tournaments are a big plus. you see, dre can be a bit difficult at times. with a heavy clutch and a tricky engagement point, it takes a bit of focus and control to drive
smoothly when my legs are normal. with legs that feel like jello, it's like learning to drive stick for the first time all over again. even still, i'll take stick over auto anyday.
