Nas - Imagine

Nas - Imagine
Imagine we could all get along
won't be long 'til that day comes
mothers stop cookin, take off your aprons
fathers stop lookin at every sport station
take a second and think of every poor nation
makin weapons, they can't afford a plate, no proper health care
over here section 8, a lot on welfare
yo the wealthy laugh, the market crash
the economy's bad
how do we change it
news flash
a bottled powder that's dangerous
how do we escape these brainless acts of terror
i tell you how
if Jesus ever comes 'a knockin
we better put our hearts in the right place
humans of all colors will stand up as one race
i promise you

Movies

-Double Indemnity (1944)
-Scent of a Green Papaya (1993)

All in all, a pretty laid back weekend...perhaps too laid back :D Today started and ended really well. It made me think I was back in college at SMU when Bao and I got into some serious conversations on everything. Man, I'm lucky to have the friends I do. I don't know how they put up with me.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
-William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "Hamlet", Act 1 scene 5

Working

This weekend was pretty laid back and relaxing. Yesterday we saw Beerfest, got some tea, and hung out in Arlington. Going to Fort Worth for some drinks was also pretty fun. I think everyone hadn't had that much fun in a while.

So today has been nice aside from the fact I was too tired to get up for church. I like it when it's overcast outside, I think I just heard thunder. So anyways, I'm feel pretty good because I plan on lounging around the apartment and doing whatever. I think I am going to read some more articles by Noam Chomsky.

I also been thinking about when Hanif told me he thought there's basically 2 kinds of people in this world. The Haves and the Have Nots.

Movies & Java!!!

Quit my job at Blockbuster, but at least I got to rent a good amount of movies from there for free :) It's also motivated me to use that expensive SMU degree to get a software programming job. Therefore, I been studying and brushing up on my Java programming every day. I'm hoping to get certification very soon. I also got an interview this week, so I'm excited :D Other than that, here's a list of movies I seen so far this year:

Hostel

Run Ronnie Run

In the Mouth of Madness

Blue Hill Avenue

Dead Man

Spider Forest (Geomi sup)

Devil's Rejects

Ugetsu

Buffalo Soldiers

They Came Back

40 year old virgin

Dawn of the Dead

Crash

Lord of War

Pistol Opera

The Aristocrats

Cube

Saat po long

Crying Fist

Tetsuo: The Iron Man

Best Korean movie I seen lately:
Crying Fist

Choi Min-sik is quite possibly my favorite Korean actor.
