Pink stuff and blog whoring

Last night my shirt exactly matched my pink streak.  I tried to take a pic, maybe I can post one later.

I decided to sign up for a blog monetization thing.  I'm going to try it out.  It's called Pay Per Post.    payperpost  Why not, right?  I have ads on some of my other blogs, but this one is for reviews and things, and I was reading another lady's blog that actually WAS NOT BORING, and yet, every post was sponsored by someone.  When I signed up at the website, it showed she had made $20,000+ from her blog, through this program.  I was pretty amazed.  Maybe she has it spread over several blogs (like I would like to do), but, still.  Not too shabby.  That'd definitely be more than I make freelancing, honestly.  So, I figure, this blog and Aspirations of Glory are good candidates, because they want lots of posts.  You get to pick and choose what you write about, so I'm going to be rather selective.

I got hit up a couple of months ago by a company that wanted an ad on my allergyware.com blog, and they sent me the text, and it was unreadable garbage.  I mean, it was CLOSE to English, but it wasn't.  I sent them their money back.  I told them I'd be happy to do the writing for them, but they said they would have a different "editor" send me the words to just copy and paste.  I told them I didn't trust their "editors."  Ridiculous.

The web is full enough already of spammy blogs and fake pages that are obviously only there to fill space so people can make google ad money.  That's what this ad looked like.  It was awful.

Anyway, my point is that this PPP program isn't like that.  Hopefully it won't annoy you when I do it, but if it does--PLEASE let me know.  You are more important to me than money.

For some reason "results not typical" comes to mind. You know when someone promises "Over 90% succeed"? I'm always in the losing 10%. I don't jump at opportunities that exist, but it’s a challenge to create and follow through on your own.   I hope you find success with this program. You deserve every happiness.

Have you tried using an Amazon Associates ID for making spare change?  I haven't tried to make money from blogging, but have recently found that using Amazon Associates is becoming kind of prosperous.  I like to make book/product/music recommendations, so it works well for me.

@Tom -

Oh, yeah. It will totally require work, and I don't expect to make tons of money because I'm not going to lie and say "Gee, whiz, this Cialis is great!"

But thanks for your support. I love trying new things, even if most of them end up being a bust. At least it helps me narrow down the opportunities that DO pay off.

I do the PPP thing (you could have signed up on my site and gotten me a referral fee!) and have made some pocket money.  I think about $400 or so in a month and a half?  There are factors that affect how much you make, etc.  There are other sites you can sign up for to.  PM me and I'll give you a list.

Very interesting. Let us know how you do. Like some others, I am very wary of money making opps. However, looks as though cliopatra is doing well w/it. Hope you do well so's you can underwite that RollerCon trip.

May check PPM out L8R.

Right now, I'd like to take a nap zzzzzzzzzzz. Didn't get enough sleep. Sciatica is bugging me again.

~~Blessings, prayers 'n cheers

@eFairy - Yes, I remember you mentioned massage before. I'd also consider acupuncture, but I doubt that my HMO will cover that or massage therapy even if PC doc would recommend. There are places here where I could get massage therapy, also acupuncture. I figure I'd have to foot the bill m'self. It may come to that.

With those glasses, I still think you resemble Ziva on NCIS.

~~Cheers
