| I'm such a bad bloggerActually you guys know that I post on LiveJournal, right?
Anyway, here's some grad school humor:
"Heroic Computer Dies To Save World From Master's Thesis"
" Grad Student Deconstructs Take-Out Menu"
And I love this explanation of postmodern reality from Sidewalk Bubblegum:

| Yay, it's overI survived my first semester here. I had a great group of students, a good selection of classes too. Next semester I'm taking visual rhetoric - how artsy! - writing across the curriculum ( aka WAC), and post modern theory (shudder).
So - all my paperwork at FSU is done. I didn't pass the Italian test however. I'm pissed but there isn't anything I can do right now, so I'm trying to de-stress and, believe it or not, unpack stuff from the move. I hope to talk to my advisor here about what to do shortly.
I had an early Christmas with my mom and brother last Sunday while I was still down there. This weekend will be spent with hubby's family and we get Christmas day to ourselves! We'll sleep in and lounge around watching A Christmas Story in decadent splendor. I'm planning on baking eggnog bread for Christmas breakfast (found a mix for it at Target, I bet it's either divine or nasty), and I'm gonna have spiked eggnog with the eggnog bread for breakfast! No, I'm not lactose intolerant. I'll roast a chicken for the main meal, with roast asparagus and green beans, and all the trimmings.
I hope you all have a fabulous holiday!

| ze paperzI have tried to not burn any bridges while trying to get this mess with my paperwork straightened out. I think it may have been inevitable given the situation. Well, I'm changing fields so hopefully no real permanent damage was (or will be) done.
This is the second major issue this year regarding me and paperwork. I can't help but wonder if there is some symbolism or message I should take from all this...
It's windy and damp and cold. It was snowing this morning, the snow was coming in almost vertically it was so windy! It didn't stick on the ground though.
Truly could use an extra week to finish up everything.

| "there's no emoticon for what I'm feeling!"My graduation date DID get screwed because of paperwork.
The good news is, it looks like I won't get kicked out of my current program.
In closing - I better not have to pay any more tuition at FSU.

| angry with rageI get the feeling that FSU likes making all the paperwork involved with the MA as frustrating and difficult as possible. For instance, why not make it so that all the PDFs can be completed online, rather than making me print crap out, fill it in manually, and then fax it?
If my graduation date gets screwed up because of paperwork - I don't even want to go there.
