So it´s come that time again when I write about what has happened and what is coming up. So I finally got a job at Compassion Int´l translating letters. For upcoming events, a friend of mine from the States who was as a missionary in Peru will be coming for a 10 days. He is arriving on the 5th and we will be doing some open air preaching and evangelism, he just finished his time in Peru so he will be stopping by Colombia on his way to the States. In July Lord willing I will be going to Korea in a government program to get to know the heritage and in August planning on coming back to the States to finish off my studies. Once I am done with my studies I am planning on going to Korea to work there probably as an English teacher.

Soli Deo Gloria

Ok so I am not much of a blogger as you can see my last blog was 2 years ago. anyways I thought it would be good to blog today lol.

So last week  (Feb 28th-March 8th) I went on a mission trip to Peru with 11 other Emmaus students/alumni and another missionary that was already there joined our team. We did a lot of skits and open air preaching, among other things were helping with some construction work on a new church building, and jail ministry, and help out at an orphanage with some landscaping work and also ministering to the kids. there was another team also that had come from the States but we did not get together except for a youth retreat on our second day in Peru. We also got to know Bert and Colleen Elliot and Elizabeth Elliot. these great missionaries shared with us much of their missionary life and how Our Lord worked through them.

During this mission trip which by the way was my first mission trip I met another Korean-American well not fully cause he was born in Korea with whom our views on the Korean church and contemporary church are the same and we also like a lot of the same preachers, even our theological views are much in accord. it was really encouraging to know Moses because I had not known another korean with my same position and neither did he. We talked so much theology in 2 days that we were able to meet. I also met someone of whom I had heard but not really known in person or maybe I did know her in person I just don't quite remember she is the sister of one of my friends at Emmaus her name is Beth. I didn't get to know her much even though I did see her couple of times early in the team's first days but didn't know who exactly she was until the last days of the work.

The Lord worked greatly through us and I returned satisfied in Him.

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11 NASB)
