| There's no way that I can organize all my thoughts about the trip into one comprehensive paragraph, but I'll try my best. The drive was the only part of the trip that sucked. 16 hours each way. The Beach-White sand. We bought a 3 dome tent that was made to sleep 12, so we were as comfortable as anyone can be on the beach. The Weather- 75-80, and clear skies. The Ocean- Cold as hell, and sparkling blue.
We camped on the beach tuesday-friday. For the first time in the past year I was completely happy. No worries, and No job for a week. It was great. Viva la bam and Real World were at this club on S. Padre called Chaos. There were so many girls that I didn't know what to do.Anyway, I'll get back to the trip...Friday morning we packed up our camp and drove to brownsville, Tx. Parked. Walked our way into Mexico and hit up the market. To celebrate st. patties day we got drunk at this Irish Pub in Mexico. There's something about walking into a bar and not getting ID'd that makes you feel really good. They had green Bud Light, and Incredible hulks so it was all good. After the bar we sobered up and drove to Austin. Long ass drive. We saw nightmare of you, Fall of Troy, Russian Circles, Head Automatica, Thursday, and a bunch of other bands. We handed out 100 demos in Austin.
After the show, around 8pm, we started driving home. We came close to dying a few times around the Falls Creek area. It was raining so hard we couldn't see where the road was, and after 7-8 hours of driving non-stop a rest stop on the side of the road looks like a holiday inn. We got home early sunday morning, and I've been tired ever since. Still catching up. Anyway, that just about sums it up. |
