| Just got home from a nice relaxing weekend at the in-laws. Good
times, lots of food, lots of tv, movies, internet, naps, etc...
Check out my new pic. It's from Boo-Yeah, remember... all
you RL students... in another life I'm a hip-hop rapper named
Big-E. lol

| Thanksgiving meal has just finished and I'm trying to look busy while
everyone else is cleaning up. lol Don't worry I'll do my
part in the work. The meal was great. This was the second
thanksgiving meal for this year. We had one last night after the
Thanksgiving Eve service. Great night. I loved it. I
shared some traditions and stuff from my family. Good times.

| I'm definitely a xanga failure. Oh well, I'll add it to my list for my new year's resolutions.
Tonight was Your Big Show for RL JV. So much fun! I just
have to say that Lena Feliz was amazing. I took the CD home and
played it for my wife. You go girl! You need to join the
worship team and the choir.
Crazy huh? Next week is Thanksgiving. Wow! Life goes by so fast. All the sudden I have 3 kids.
Life lesson for the week... You'll learn more about your
weaknesses and potential attitude problems when you don't get your own
way rather than when you do. God is always looking for
opportunities to purify us, to bring the dross to the surface, the
impurities. It gold being refined in the fire. The trials
(fire) are sometimes the only thing that can pufify us (remove the
dross). It's so hard to remember that or see that when you're in
the midst of the fire, the trial. You just want it to end and
things to go your way.
How do you rejoice in your trials? I haven't really figured that one out yet.

| I played in my alumni game last night up at VFCC. Lot's of
fun. We lost 85-80. I played well. 10-12 points or
something like that. I guess I'm in a little better shape than I
thought. I'm not feeling too bad today. Just a little sore
back.
Tony Cruz spoke in chapel. He did great. Love that
guy! My basketball coach, Dan Boothman got inducted into the Hall
of Fame. Very cool. I'm happy for him.

| ...still in Pittsburgh. This morning I heard Louie Giglo speak...
WOW!!! Unbelievable! I was so challenged by his message on
worship. Here's a little recap: He talked about the
difference between being a consumer of worship or a consumee of
worship. Basically, the difference between a giver and a
taker.
Consumer Worship:
Consumee Worship:
What's in it for me?
I'm in it for you!
What do I get?
What
can I give?
Something I buy.
I have already been
bought.

I don't know about you, but I get real convicted when I read that
list. How many times have I made worship into a thing about me
and not about God.
