| Intro: So every once and a while God reminds us that he is actively involved in our lives and does something cool. That happened last night. Background: Last week I went on a jog around the new neighborhood (not to be confused with Mr. Roger's neighborhood, may he R.I.P.) and the thought came to me that I should probably pay attention to the streets so I can get familiar with the area. Yeah so I think I only paid attention to one because after that I was more worried about my out of shape heart dying on me. However, I recognized that one street on my way back.... yay I learned a street. Yesterday (if you’re reading this today at least): So I was coming back from a 7/4 party (which was very nice, it turns out my bro's girl friend can cook, and it wasn't just a rumor) and I missed my exit. So of course I pull off @ the next exit only to my surrounded by gun fire, not a good neighborhood, let me tell you (not like Mr. Roger's at all, may he r.i.p.). K, so actually there only fireworks, but I assure you they did not help my concentration level.... but it turns out the street I ended up on was the exact one (emphasis on one, as in singular, only, etc...) street that I had learned the other day. The map I had definitely did not show the area in enough detail to reveal that it would get me back to home. Good thing I'd been there, so I ended up at home shortly after. It would have had to be one crazy coincidence for me to get lost and end up on a street I had learned on a whim a few days earlier. Oh and ask anyone who knows me about my sense of direction (its bad, I won't go anywhere with out a handy dandy google map). Yeah, so yay for God for taking care of us and surprising us when we least expect it, and most need it, that He's there and awesomely there too! Crountonal Frenchafrie | | |
| Monday marks my first day at my first real job. Armed with the utter imcompetance of a college education I will step through to a new journey... one not involving text books and .... um... interesting .. profs. Instead I will be immersed into the cubicle culture of software engineering ... may God have mercy... I was heartend to see a usb pc controlled foam missle launcher on woot.com the other day, I guess office nerds know how to have fund too! Stay tuned for cynnical posts in the near future as a result of having nothing to do in the new apartment. - Fanuta Juanzalous | | |
