Coke Museum and the Weddingbee.

Quick update!  Just wanted to share a slideshow of our visit to the coke museum where we took our adopted Somalian family. :)  So many funny/great moments!  Everyone should try the beverly.. it is delicious~ ^_-

Ooooh, and my photos from an earlier post were featured on weddingbee by Mrs Daffodil. :)

P.S.  I ran/walked 5 miles yesterday (for the first time in my LIFE?).  To better health. :) That is all.

Christina and Daniel Wedding - LA

Got to go shoot a wedding with Scott Robert last month in LA, and it just so happened that I knew the bride and groom and met them a year earlier in SF through a friend.  It was nice to see all the ATL people party it up in LA.  It was also an awesome learning experience being able to observe and see SR in action and interact with his clients.  Here are a few from the day.  The first two were all setup/posed by SR, although I have to give myself some credit for paying attention to the details of it, ie the veil, etc.  haha =P  Then, I ran off to do different detail shots.

I remember someone mentioning to me about how special the organs were to this church, so I figured I would incorporate them in.

And somethin' personal.  I decided I'm going to be more active and take up a sport, and I guess for a girl in her mid-twenties, tennis seemed appropriate and good socially.   So Yes, I am giving up my dreams of being awesome at basketball.  I have myself a tennis instructor to keep myself motivated, AND for a little more motivation I went shopping for a cute tennis outfit Sunday.  I hear the boys love pink??  haha  I didn't find anything I liked... who knew it would be this hard!  I will just have to sneak some shopping time in between some errands today, because I am determined to look good while I play (miserably haha).  If anyone sees anything, I am def open for suggestions. :)

I think I'm liking this one.  I like the Adidas by Stella McCartney, too, but I'm thinking I'll hold off on these until I'm at least decent at playing.  haha

Eunice and Wes Wedding Teasers

Thought I would post a few from this past Saturday's wedding.  Eunice was a superbride.  She had everything planned out on three pages of xl spreadsheet.  She even padded in Asian time!  Good planning ahead!  The day went really smooth, and we even had plenty of down time to relax.

These girls were there since 5:30 in the morning.

Some details

Thought I would make use of the stained glass. :)

Wes, the groom, getting ready.

The unique part of the wedding was the communion.  I think this is the first time I've ever seen this done at a wedding ceremony.

So much emotion throughout the day!

After the bride and groom were in tears, it was game over for everyone else.  Not a dry eye in the room.  I was getting teary eyed, but then had to pull it together.  Don't want to cry on the job. haha

The reception was at Piedmont Room, which was nice because we got to go outside and get some shots at the park.

First time trying out my gun light.  Thanks to my trusty assistant for holding it up!  hehe

It was a really hot and humid day, but they were troopers!  Good times.  :)

Sophia and Calvin - Houston, TX

Junshien and I flew to Houston, TX to shoot Sophia and Calvin's wedding last month.  It started with the tea ceremony on Friday, the Cambodian ceremony early Saturday morning, and then the main ceremony.  There was seriously sooo much to cover, I just randomly chose some photos to post.

All the girls looked super cute in their clothes!

I think this is my favorite shot. :)

I think the rice throwing part was my favorite part! hehe  So fun!

I love how Sophia was always smiling even while she was constantly getting hit by the rice.

Cannot forget about those detail shots.

A or B?

At the reception:

I think I miss shooting just for the fun of it.  I haven't really done much of it since the whole wedding photography business got started.  I remember when I picked up my first SLR, I would take it everywhere and I could not stop shooting.  Now, all those daily encounters in life are going uncaptured.  Time to bring it back.

Remember mixed CDs and mixed tapes?  I used to love getting them or making them for people.  When did that era come to pass?  I found this one while I was cleaning out and organizing my CDs.  It's labeled "Coaster".... and rightfully so.  I'm still having a hard time tossing it though.

What I ate as a healthy after-dinner snack.  No worries.  They are completely safe.  We picked them out of my parents garden.

This is my fav flower.  I didn't even notice that my mom planted one in her garden until today.

This one would be my grandma's most prized flower.  It's gonna grow to be taller than me one day.

Life is moving fast

Two thursdays ago, I got a last minute invite to a wedding happening a couple days after.  I knew the groom from five years ago and had lost touch with him and somehow got back in touch through recently meeting Sean (his brother in law).  He had to be in high school while I was undergrad in college back when I knew him, now the next thing I hear is that he is getting married.  How insane is that?!

And Jae, too (on the left), I haven't seen him in sooo long!  I knew him when he was in high school, and now he's finishing up his fourth year in college.  Look at him, all grown up!  Everyone's growing up so fast!  Spoken like someone who's truly old, but I know I'm not that old yet! hehe

Here is Sean singing a song to congratulate his sister.  It just so happens to be the very same song that Kenny sang to Eunji that made her cry the weekend before. =P

Hanboks (Korean traditional outfits) are so cute! ... but sooo uncomfortable.

And here was my last minute dress that I had picked out. haha  Seriously, I looked around the mall and was about to give up, but just as I was leaving I saw a salesperson put this back.  Luckily, it was my size!  I didn't even have time to try it on.  I just snatched it up and paid for it.  It was an impulsive purchase, but it all worked out.  I hate how you always feel like you need a new dress to every wedding, and when you get at that age, you end up having to buy a new dress every weekend.  hahaha not that I'm complaining about the new dresses. ;)

On a side note:  I found a spider in my room yesterday.  I didn't freak out.  I just sprayed it to death with my windex.  Now, if someone would kindly remove it from my room... :(
