| So life kinda sucks hard core right now. For the last 2 years I've been wishing I could be close to John. Now that the move is actually about to take place I'm not so sure. I mean seriously. If I can't get the time of day when I'm 2 hours away and only see him once a month... how bad am I going to be ignored when getting the chance to see me is no longer something special? I'm not asking to be put on a pedestal and be given the princess treatment by any means. But it would be great to just once be acknowledged. Not treated like a goss inconvenience. Sometimes I wish I could just cut my losses and move on. I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him and that I would be miserable without him ... but I'm miserable now anyway. | | |
| Kari had her baby and he is adorable! And homecoming was amazing, forgot how much i miss everyone in/from BG. I'll write a real post about last weekend when I get the chance. It'll be nice to get a happy post on here for once, lately my writing has been about as black as this screen. And today is no different, lol. Not really. Life's a bitch, I'm either getting used to it or tired, probably both. I like my new job at Kohl's, the people are really nice for the most part and (besides my feet killing me) the work isn't that hard. It is also the cleanest job I have ever had. No little cheetos hand prints, pasta sauce, ink, or dirt all over me when I get home. The hours could use some tweaking though, especially once I start subbing because working 7a-4 then 5p-11:30 and every weekend is going to get old fast. Oh well, at least I'm making money and not bored. Looking into moving to Cincinnati at the end of the year. But that will depend on John pulling his head out of his butt... or I'll just bludgeon him to death with my shoe... then I'll be moving to Canada. | | |

| 8/8/07 Girl's canoe Trip at Mohican Reservation! Love canoeing... hate driving back country windy ass roads to get there. So of course I was late & Jessie was waiting in the parking lot. But Cayla was even later than I was so I didn't do so bad. Since there were 3 of us we took the 9 mile trip in a canoe and a kayak. Very glad I chose a kayak because the canoe kept getting stuck on rocks and trees. Though in a kayak you get a lot wetter from the paddle. Since you're closer to the water and better balanced you can also put your feet in the water while going down stream. We shoved off behind some cute guys too, so we kept running into them on the trip down river... very nice scenery. It got so hot we eventually striped down to our suits and jumped in... this led to a very funny chase after our boats as they left without us. After getting sufficiently soaked it was decided to just float down stream for awhile instead of actually work. Great chance to catch up and getting ice cream afterwards was almost as good as the BG Dairy Queen! Got to see Jessie's apartment, and kitty. Didn't end up heading home till almost 11. Taking really hilly roads in the middle of no where, pitch black out, and a huge heat lightning storm. 8/10/07 Garage Sale Friday! Pretty good haul too. For six dollars I got 6 hardback kids books, a polo shirt, and 7 dressy tank tops. So excited, everything can be used for teaching. Kim bought a dirty joke book at one house... tucked inside it was a naked picture of the lady's husband. Gramma wanted to take it back and tell the lady she found it to see how embarrassed she got. 8/12/07 Jim's Wedding Reception went great! A little hot but you'll have that in August. We rented out a shelter house at the park next to the lake and decorated it up with streamers and bells. A good chunk of my great aunts and uncles showed up and only two of my cousins were missing (they had to work), so a little over 50 people. So much food. And the cake was beautiful.... though they put sugar on top of it to make it sparkle... which made it crunchy. All of the younger cousins played boche ball for awhile, it got quite heated because John and I were competing. But the game ended when a 2yr old decided he wanted to play. He would wind up as far as he could, throw it, and it would fall about a foot from him... so he'd have to repeat the procedure and we decided it was more fun laughing at this kid than playing. After packing up and getting John on the road I went over to my aunt's for a bonfire. After getting the fire going really good, I got all caught up with my aunts. Then we remember that it is wayyy too hot to be sitting near open flames. So we hooked the dogs up to glow sticks and went to the back yard to watch the meteor shower. It wasn't really impressive but we had a blast. Got up on the trampoline with aunt Terri to lay down and watch the stars. It was so dark you couldn't see the dogs, just there glow chain. So we started playing Hot Lava w/ the dogs, whenever one would run underneath the trampoline you had to roll out of the way as fast as you could so the Lava Sharks wouldn't get you. Sounds stupid and was, but I think that's the most fun I've ever had with glow sticks tied to dogs. Especially when Colleen threw the puppy up on top and burned everyone up. Things finally calm down and we're looking for meteors in honest, when the cat meows really loudly from directly underneath us and everyone started screaming. Run into the kitchen and the garage opener fell off of the wall and flew across the floor, so they have ghosts. Hehe, I have the greatest aunts ever. | | |
| A trip to the doctor tells me that I have obscenely high cholesterol, thanks 99% to family. But this also means cutting out as much cholesterol from my diet as possible... cholesterol is found mostly in animal products. The fact that my cholesterol is high (while my iron level is borderline anemic) is really funny, in a not funny at all sort of way. I was laughing pretty hard when the doc told me I had to stop eating steak, whole/ 2% milk, cheese, fried stuff, and veggies in sauces. Looks like I'm going to be going even more vegetarian and cut out all red/dark meat out of the diet entirely... as well as most of my peanut butter. Great. | | |
