| wowI haven't had a chance to blog in forever and I haven't given much thought into this post. Since we got DSL at our house this week I have been mildly addicted to the computer. There is so much I have missed out on. It will be nice to feel truly connected again:)

| Hello, world of Xanga...have you missed me? I can't say that I have missed you that much! I haven't had a lot of time to write down my thoughts but plan to make some time in the next few weeks or so. Life is moving faster everyday, but I plan to take a nap if possible today! That makes me more happy than chocolate, coffee, and caffeine combined (I don't really partake in any...and neither should you..tsk tsk). I have gone back to Bath and Body works for the mother's day holiday and a semi-annual sale in June. I enjoy working there. It allows me a bright getaway from my daily routine....and I get paid! Can't beat that. However, I don't recommend two jobs to anyone that can avoid it. It complicates complicated lives. Well, until I find more time, hasta luego!

| Community vs the iPodHave you ever noticed how closed off our society has become. We are an "army of one"; don't be a poser...be an individual. However, I think "divided we fall and united we can stand."
Community has almost entirely been lost in the world.
I was recently at a youth conference (woohoo Target!) and was trying to speak to someone...of course they had no idea I was talking to them because they were actually listening to their iPod. I have an iPod mini and enjoy having it and listening to it...however it tends to interfere with communication in our world. It creates a little wall of noise that allows or cause a person to ignore everything around them. When you are surrounded by people who would love to spend time with you and talk about anything, everything or nothing...why choose to be alone and isolated?
Do we have an iPod blocking God's communication?
I often wonder if our culture isn't hearing God because of all the noise we have cluttering our ears and hearts. Our busy lives, the world around us, relationships, irritations, idols, impatience, television, etc. These can all build a wall that closes off communication with Jesus. Is it time to remove the headphones and take a break from the noise? | | |

| a new box.Do you ever feel like God has something else waiting for you. Something really big just around the corner. There have been a couple of times I have felt this way. I think one of the first things that happpens is an overwhelming sense of discontentment. Not just I am not happy with my current job, but something bigger. It's almost like I am in a box and I am on the verge of not fitting in the box.
Over the past few months God has been working on different areas of my life and forcing my focus to be where he wants it. I have started to see things through God's eyes. Important things I never thought I needed His perspective on. Such as what to do at church. I am a teacher by education... so I'll teach at church. God has given me that talent and therefore I never consulted Him any further. I don't dispute that He is using that talent, however, I never asked HIm if that was where He wanted me.
Anyway, back on track now...God has been changing my view and perspective as well as adding more to me in the sense of heart and conviction and ideas. My box is shrinking. How do you get a new box though. I am unsure of the ease in that process. Sometimes it is painful. Sometimes it is hard. Other times a new box appears. I am a bit eager to discover my new box.
Have you noticed I like to be abstract. Any questions or clarifications...let me know. More to come ont his post later:)
