my brother has this new girlfriend, right? and since he got this new girlfriend, he's had almost nothing but a bad/defensive attitude toward everything. they've been together... 4 months now. the other day, mom and i went to the apartment in Valley to see if they (bro and his gf) had gathered and cleaned everything that was necessary for us to be moved out. well the place was filthy. so we're getting ready to leave, i check my phone and see that i had a missed call from the house. i call back, my brother answers, and i ask (after a bit more conersation) "are you guys going to come back here to clean tonight? cause it needs vacuumed and stuff," very calmly. he hangs up on me. well i guess he went and told his girlfriend that i was saying the place was a pig sty, and hadn't been touched, etc... so she says "fuck her, she needs to keep her fuckin mouth shut." and you know, they still haven't figured out that the walls are thin enough to hear every word that's said above a whisper. so naturally, my boyfriend heard her say that and asked her calmly why she was talking about me like that.. then he called me and told me about it and that they were on their way to the apt. (deep breath) so of course i start crying. mom asks what's wrong, i tell her... and they show up. i stayed in the car cause i really didnt feel like fighting. but then brother starts saying it's MY fault that the place isnt clean, and that i had never even asked to help. ... excuse me?!? so of course all my pent up wanting to yell and scream at them blew up. and i feel better now. :D i tell you what though, living with them is going to be the biggest trial of patience i've ever ever ever faced. (ugh)

ok now that that's out of the way.. Halloween night. what a majickal night. :P we all went to deb and jerry's house to help scare the kids as they come up for treats. and that was fun, but after a while something very disturbing to me happened. not anything creepy or like.. ooOOooo spooky type. this kid... about oh, 14, 15 years old came around dressed up like a hunter or something. before he came up toward the porch we hear him say," if anything jumps up at me i'm stabbing it!" while they were walking away, he said,"did you hear what i said guys?" and one said "yeah.. i'm sure glad you have a knife." (or something along those lines) at first i was like.. well what a little prick. he ruined all the fun for the kids he was walking around with who were noticably younger than him. then i got to thinking... wait.. this is WHITEWATER! (for those of you who arent familiar, whitewater is a tiny village with a population of about 500-ish and doesn't even have a gas station) what the hell is happening to this world if a.) a kid doesn't even feel safe to talk around in a small town like that anymore. and b.) that kid was carrying around a REAL knife and could have hurt someone who was just trying to have fun. where are the parents?!? *sigh* people are so stupid.

well, it's been a LONG time since i last blogged here. i haven't really been around a computer much of late so i'll do my best to catch everyone up on things. since February i've gotten a boyfriend named Eric. we've been together now for 7 months. so that's fun and that's all i'm going to say about that. I got fired from the wonderful Burger King in March, started working at ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) in May and quit there in June. since then i've come to Kansas once to stay for almost a month in July, and got to see my family over the 4th weekend, but no friends :( . we shot off well over $200 worth of fireworks. wewt! and then we went back to Ohio and started.....PACKING! and packing and packing and packing for our family's move to Kansas. man you never realise how much stuff one family can have till it all has to be put in boxes. so yeah got that all finished about 3 weeks ago. got a U-Haul about... 2 weeks ago and then the fun began. first day we got the truck, there were NO break lights. so we had to get them fixed which took a total of about 4 hours. so much for loading the truck that day. then the next 2 days it rained and poured. so much for loading the truck those days. so on the 4th day we finally got everything in the truck and planned to leave the next morning. (last saturday) so we're all up at 6, ready to leave by 8. we head out and wouldnt you know.. as soon as we got on the road that stupid truck breaks! we had gotten 15 minuted out of town and the alternator belt broke. so we sat at a rest stop till nearly 2 pm. so much for driving that day. so we made it here sunday afternoon after all the mess with the truck. finally able to unload the truck and relax, right? uhm no. the apt. that my mother had for the household stuff has cracked in the foundation and walls and is not suitable to live in. stupid drought. so we got a storage bin in Newton and got it all unloaded the next day. bah. so now we're on the hunt for places to live. Eric and I have pretty well decided to rent my Uncle's late Father's home but before we do that we've got to get everything out of the house and clean it! my brother and his girlfriend will be staying there as well until they get enough money saved to get out on their own. fun fun.

so here i am in Kansas sitting at my gramma's house helping to take care of her today, playing on the computer. i hope this move works out, but i've already got my doubts. for some reason it feels that as long as i live close, i'll always be under mom's wing. being asked to taxi here and there, and volunteered for things i can't exactly bow out of gracefully that i'd really rather not do. i came here to go to school and get a decent job and yes be close to the family, but not to jump whenever they ask me to. .. yeah that all sounds rather harsh and dont get me wrong, i dont mid helping my mother and the family, it's just that i want to be able to live my own life and make my own decisions. to be overly dramatic.. i want my freedom!!! :P oh well. i suppose we'll see how it all goes in the long run. much luv to all!

First funeral: my Grampa, but i spent the time down stairs helping with the younger cousins. I remember my friend Vanrell's mom's funeral much more.

First CD: the first one i bought was Blessid Union of Souls (self titled.)

First pet: Pal and Bear, brother dogs. we had to get rid of bear when they fought over my brother once. it was scary. then we gave away Pal when we moved to Ohio. :(

First concert: Blessid Union of Souls at the college in Wilmington. i think it cost like 15 bucks to get in or somethin.
