| Well, its finally the new year!
Here's to hoping we have a 2006 full of wonderful experiences, great times with friends, and awesome new people.
| Well, I was listening to the song San Angelo, by Third Day, an awesome band. I can't believe how much the song applies to me, even without the significance of the song title.
Forever seems so distant Much further than today You turn around and in an instant You find that you are just as far from yesterday The day it feels like winter The night it feels like stone You turn around and you remember When you’re surrounded You can still feel so alone
But it’s in between the start and end I find myself once again Questioning this place Calling out your name San Angelo What do you know And tell me do you have something to say Don’t get me wrong But I miss my home And it feels like I’m a million miles away San Angelo Why do I ask these questions How come I have these doubts Cause I find every situation It always seems to have It’s way of working out
But it’s in between the start and end I find myself once again Questioning this place Calling out your name
I've just had so many questions lately, relating to my faith and my direction in life. I have so many things unanswered, faith is definitely the hardest thing for me to have. I'm just so lost. If you listen to this song, you can understand what Eli is thinking, please give it a listen.
Oh, and I love you all! <3
| Ok, I have this really weird feeling that something is going to happen on november 23rd.
I've been seeing 11:23 for the past year and just realized its the 21st, perhaps the 23rd has something momentous planned for it. I'm not supersticious, but I wanted to write this down to say that I said it.
| Hey there ya'll.
California is pretty sweet, I'm gonna have to admit. I honestly love all that is available for me to do. I just got my sweet new car on Saturday (97' Taurus, its awesome! :P), so I can actually drive places!. The guy who sold me the car was a really nice guy, so I got a really good deal, and then after I gave him the money he gave me $100 back for being in the military, people are awesome like that sometimes.
I just graduated from the first term airmen center, which is a 3 week introduction to the base, so I'm happy to be finished with that and actually get to my shop, so I can start training even more :)
Pray for snow so I can go snowboarding over thanksgiving break!
| Ah, I'm in glorious California!
So I finally made it to california. The place is okay, my base is pretty secluded (in the middle of nowhere), but there are plenty of things that aren't too far. Me and a few friends went to Lake Tahoe on saturday and did a little hiking, that was awesome.
My room is decent, been buying stuff to fill it out and all that, can't wait to move off base though, but I'll probably have to wait at least a year to do that, oh well, the accomodations aren't bad.
Oh, I won my first 5k a couple weeks ago, and ran in a 10k last week that I didn't do that well in. There are so many races going on around here though, once I get my vehicle I'm gonna drive around and compete.
