My little Benji caught the flu AGAIN!  His fever finally broke last night so I was ECSTATIC!  Poor guy has been coughing so much that he lost his voice.   Luckily Matthew didn't catch this virus...knock on wood.

Last month, Matthew went to his first music concert!  Of course the mommies chaperoned, but they had a great time seeing Greg, Murray, Jeff, and the new Wiggle, Sam!

Little did we know, Porter Ranch is super windy during the winter.... but there are days when it is absolutely beautiful out.  Right down the street there's a big park where we often take the kids.

Matthew was so excited to fly his first kite.... he could hardly contain his joy!

But he got bored pretty quickly and ran off to the play gym while Benji sat in his stroller making bubbles.

Benjaim is such a good baby... he's my little Buh-buh.  :)  As long as his tummy is full and his bootie is clean, he just plays!

It also helps to have an older brother that is so loving and entertaining.  Matthew makes Benji laugh hysterically with "Peek-a-boo!"

My in-laws were here the last couple of months, but they went back to China.... here's a Kim Family photo.

While they were here, we took the kids to Long Beach Aquarium.  Matthew had a good time, and Benji just sat in his stroller as usual.

Check out the arctic bird behind Matthew... "Hey, watcha lookin at!?"

I had to post this picture even though Matthew wasn't looking.  Benji just looked too cute....

This is my niece, Baby Emery.  It's funny because Matthew's "Ls" come out sounding like his "Rs".  He has a train named "Emily" but he says it "Emery"... so when he says Baby Emery, I wonder if he thinks he's saying Baby Emily.  Anyhow, he adores her.

Lastly, here's the kids at church before they marched through the sanctuary on Palm Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone... I'll have some really good pictures next time!

This past week our whole family got SLAMMED with the flu.  Our little Benji brought home the bug somehow and he had a difficult time.   Just as he was getting better, Sam and I got sick.  Matthew had a few signs of the bug, but it didn't last.  Being sick as an adult, esp. as a mother of 2, isn't the same as when you're sick as a kid.  I just wanted to crawl into a hole and SLEEP, but that didn't happen.  No pampering from my mommy, no pamering from my husband... luckily my in-laws were around and helped out!   Anyhow, nothing beats being healthy...sometimes I forget.  Pictures next time.

Last week we had our first real emergency with Matthew.  We were just wrapping up the first session of community group (Bible study) at our house and the adults were chatting while the kids were playing.  All of a sudden, there was a big thud and one of the fathers was like, "Oh, my God, Oh, my God!"  I turn around and I see Matthew crying and holding his right eye where blood is spewing out.  I freaked out and was praying please God, let it not be his eye, please God, let it not be his eye...  finally when they moved his hand the blood was coming from his brow bone area.  He had tripped over Benji's swing and landed right into the corner of a Korean coffee table.  Although it was scary to see that much blood from my baby boy, all I was able to do was thank Jesus for protecting Matthew.

After a five hour wait in the ER, Matthew got five stitches (watching them patch him up was one of the hardest things).  Having boys, I know there will be more runs to the ER in the future.  Yikes!  I don't know how to describe it, but I feel like he grew up so much just enduring that one night in the ER.

Matthew got the sutures removed today and hopefully his skin will heal without any scarring.  If not, he received his first battle wound....

Our little Benjamin celebrated his 100th day earlier this month.  With Matthew's 100th we celebrated at Dragon in K-town.  I guess things are always a little toned down with the second child.

Here are a few moments of my day... Matthew dressed up as Bob the Builder....  and Benji playing with a hot dog and drumstick.

Benjamin and Matthew both at 4 months...  both bald and cute. (Hopefully it's not a  glimpse of them in their old age.)

Brotherly love...

And meet the new addition to the Ahn family.... Baby Emery.   She's such a cutie!!!! I wanna girl!

Last week as I was flat-ironing my hair, I spotted my first gray!!! Not that it's a big deal or anything, but it was a physical sign that I am getting old.... With that rude awakening, I finally gave into my car struggle with Sam and we purchased a minivan....no, not a lease, but a purchase.  I'm stuck weith this baby for the long haul...I'm going to drive it to the ground!  It's actually a really nice car, especially for the kids....I can finally go to Costco with both kids and have room to buy stuff or than just toilet paper!  Check out my rims!!!

This post is long overdue... lo siento mis amigos.

I've been a bit tied up with the move and the holidays.  Now that most of the boxes are unpacked and we have some furniture, our new house is finally starting to feel like a home.

Matthew has adjusted well.  For the first couple of weeks he kept saying he wanted to go back home (which is now Grandma and Grandpa's house).  He was scared to sleep in his room and was sleeping with us.  But now he is being very brave and spending the nights (at the lesat the first half of it) in his new "big boy" bed.

Benjamin is growing up way too quickly.   He is now three months old and such a good boy.  Benji eats and sleeps so well... at night he does about 9-10 hours straight!  He is much more active now and so much fun to play with now that he smiles.

On to the good stuff...

My grandmother turned 90 years old ealier this month... 90 years?!?!  Here she is with her great grandsons...almost a century apart!

The annual child dedication service was held earlier this month.  There were 13 children presented at the service.  Pastor blessed each child with a special passage.  This was the passage given to Benjamin:

"When portions were served to them from Joseph's table, Benjamin's portion was five times as much as anyone else's. So they feasted and drank freely with him."  Genesis 43:34

Last week the children's ministry had a special Christmas program.  Matthew's class of 2 year olds did hand motions to "Joy to the World."  He was a little timid at first but got into it towards the end of the song.

Here are some pictures of my little Benjamin...

God has blessed our family so greatly in 2006.  We are excited to see what he has in store for 2007.... God bless!
