hey hey, only six days till i am back in providence.  i'm very excited.  i'm going out with my ATL friends tonight for one last night out. 

Although an old friend has come to visit at this inopportune time.  Yes, conji is back, but not with a vengeance.  A milder form of my old nemesis appeared last night.  Need to avoid smoke-filled bars in future but probably won't happen. . .

whoops, i have not posted in forever.  I am home now, missing scotland a lot, but excited about going back to providence soon. 

Ths summer jobs, which were supposed to be nice and relaxing, are just okay.  I like my history center job, but it doesn't pay.  So I'm waitressing, which, if I'm honest, I absolutely hate.  But it's paying pretty decent.

My only complaint about the summer is that I don't have any extra time to just rest or sit around, and I feel that, as it's my last summer of college, I should take some time to relax.

back in london, though I swore I'd never be here this term, but Daron's infamous powers of persuasion overwhelmed me.  I loved showing him around Edinburgh, and he seems to be having a good time too, though not as a good a time as he did reading over his own xanga post and laughing at all his own jokes.  I am proud to say that I have identified the face Daron makes when checking himself out in the mirror, and this discovery has certainly brought us closer.  Also we saw the Matrix!!!! 

In reference to certain rumors: Okay, yes, the unemployed actors who work at ghost tours/wax museums seem to love picking me out as the drunken slut.  However, i blame my blondness and not any actual resemblance to a drunken slut.  except perhaps the drunken part.  Don't ask about last night.

I'll be home (in ATL) on June 13, so I hope to see everyone that I can.  I'll be very very sad to leave but certainly looking forward to getting back to brown.  xoxo

p.s. daron and i discovered the absinthe shot.  it's painful but wonderful.

Okay, I should apologize for being so stressed that I have not posted in yonks (as they say).  Things are great now.  I turned in my last essay on friday.  now i just have 2 exams that don't really matter!  hooray!!

Weekend: Went out with my flatmates, drank too much, got my groove on, lots of fun.

To Do List: 

1. figure out what's going on with my thesis

2. anoint my floor with precious oils to prepare for the visit of one Daron Kahn (bring a sweater).

3. read a couple of Scottish books, explode certain notions of gender, deconstruct various constructs.

4. get a job.
