  • So...I'm back in the city of skyscrapers, a zillion nationalities and a zillion languages. You have everything here, and yet no one seems to care about eachother. Individuality. At least that was what I have experienced these past two months, but today it changed. I went to different churches here in these two months and what surprised me was that no one looked at you or even said hello. Today I went to another church and I got a warm welcome and invitiations to go to youthmeetings etc. The pastor, the youthleader and the youth were so nice.

The church has a youth group of 260 people. I've never been to a youthgroup that big. I'm excited to go and to meet people.

  • make a difference

do you realize what kind of impact you can have on someone's life? You can have a negative or a positive impact, but the postive impact is what's so important. I recentely have a sponsorchild. His name is Leonardo. He's 11 years old and lives in Ecuador. Just by sponsoring him, his life will be changed. Caring about someone and showing that you care. You can make a difference in the lives of your neighbours, friends, roommates and even in the lives of people on the other side the world and you haven't even met them personally.

just wanted to share that with y'all.

    ciao,

  • Have you ever had the feeling of being very happy to be home? Just to be home. See the city where you live. See the people who live in the same city. Walking around and meeting people you know by accident. Just because they are in town and you are too. Knowing where you are and exactly how to get somewhere.

I moved to R'dam, like I already said probably. Or maybe I didnt, but if I didnt, I did now. Live there for 2 months now, and I come home every weekend. When I lived here I wanted to live in the city so bad, just for a little while though. I complained about this town. There was nothing to do, there is just one movietheater, there is a swimmingpool and that's all you have. Now I live somewhere, where they have everything, and all I want is to go back. Back to the place I complained about and miss so bad right now.

Maybe it's a matter of time. Getting used to the city life and everything that comes with it.

At least now I'm home, real home. And there's no place I'd rather be right now.

  • Hey,

Finally I'm home again. A week at home. I'm glad I could leave the city for a week and just hang out at the place where I belong. My life is here. My family is here. My friends are here. The environment where I grow up is here. This is where I feel at home.

    With love,

    Elise
