I’m tiered, because I went scouting all day long.

I probably walked three miles in the woods, that is me and Mr. Overmyer did. We hung two stands, one stand was quite near the entrance to the woods, and the other stand was half a mile back in the swamp! The latter was my stand. Um... Tell me something you did that was fun.

Vibrant colors of Fall have yet to fill the woods.

Fun galore..! This is what happened.

Pop! Pop!....Yes I got you yes run run Pop! Pop! duck... wow! That was close!

Levi, Noah, John and Paul had all gone down to the pond and we were coming after them. My Dad and some others had gone in below the dam and had been shot. they had radioed to me and Wes Atwood who were off the road about twenty yd. under some brush as Levi, Noah, John and Paul were all sweeping through the woods as they went up the road. I told Wes that I was going to try to run down to the stream which was the to my right about fifteen yd. and free the people on the dam. So I make a run for the dam! Paul spots me and tells the others they all tore like hell after me whooping and yelling! I get to the dam and dad and the others weren't there, they were past the dam another thirty yds.!! The slight pause I took to look for them cost me my life and Wes had already been shot during the run. That skirmish was over but the battle is far from being over!
