| It's been awhile....... since I last used Xanga! All the features and the user interface is quite different now! Interesting.... in any case, quick update - looks like we'll be moving back to DC around the August/September timeframe...(can u believe it was just 2 posts ago that I talked about going to DC last summer? i have definitely been an infrequent xanga user, preferring to read friends' updates ;op)... any recommendations on places to live will be much appreciated. =) I also noticed that I signed up for my first "subscription" back in 2003, and it is now 2008. Definitely unbelievable how quickly time passes by. I talk to D sometimes about how "old" I feel, and yet, I've probably not even quite lived 1/3 of my life yet! Ah well... life continues on, and hopefully we can each make the most of it! Well... it's back to studying for me - for one more week, anyway... D and I will both be graduating very, very soon. I can't wait! | | |
| Boy names....... so is it just me, or does everyone seem to like the name "Ethan" as a boy's name? It must be the number one name for two years in a row. Let's see who I know, who had boy babies, and are named Ethan... 1) cousin's son 2) college friend's son 3) friends from Cleveland who moved to Reno - their son 4) another set of friends from Cleveland who just had a baby two weeks ago - their son's English name is Ethan ... okay, so maybe 4 isn't a lot, but since I don't have that many friends having boy babies, the ones who are, well, the odds seem much higher. Of course, Ethan means "firmness, steadfastness, constancy" in Hebrew, which is an excellent name. Hmm, maybe if I have a boy, I'll name him Ethan. =) | | |
| D and I will soon be on our way to DC for the summer! Let us know if you are in town, or just visiting =) I really can't believe how quickly time flies by.... speaking of which, does anyone know how I can delete blog postings dated back to 2004 without having to go through each individual posting, one by one? | | |
| Okay... I am *definitely* done with the 30 degree and below weather. I am ready to move back to the South! California would be nice too...

You can barely see Dan posing next to our car in the garage. Look at the snow! We had what seemed like a blizzard last Tuesday/Wednesday, and it has just started melting these past two days. I can' believe the temp's been in the 30s and even 40s (yesterday)! So much warmer =)
We spent Chinese New Year's with a family from our church here in Cleveland. Dan is posing next to our friend Mel at Case Med and Tony, pastor and missionary to Benin, Africa. His 5th baby is due in 3 weeks, and he and his family will move to Africa with 5 kids 6 weeks after the baby is born. The second pic is me with his two girls (he has two boys, and one more boy on the way!) - they are really quite adorable!
Life is good, and God is good. Just have to remember that God is good always whether I think life is going "according to plan". Plans change, and people change, but God does not, and for that I am thankful.
While Cleveland is notorious for its cloudy days, I think it is truly beneficial (and restoring!) for the soul to experience sunny days. Of course, without all those cloudy days, we wouldn't appreciate the sunny days as much when we do have them. Yay for sunny days! | | |
