I have loved Thanksgiving break... especially this one.

I love it because there is time, or so it seems. Time to get away. Time to sleep. Time to rest. Time to read. Time to watch TV. Time to think about life. Time to sort through my heart. Time to shop. Time to have fun. Time to bake cookies. Time to think. Time to listen. Time to speak. Time to run.

Time. Time. Time. Time.

That will end tomorrow night.... time just slips away. Things are so hassled back at school. Everyday it's rush here, rush there. Do this, do that. Can't do this, can't do that....
I don't have time to.

Rush. Rush. Rush. Rush.

Lord, I pray you give me a peace and rest only YOU can give. Each day, renew it.

So, I really don't write much on here at all. At least not lately. Some random ramblings....

LINDSAY is here and we've been having a GREAT time together!!! One and a half sweet days left with her before she flies on outta here again. I've missed her a LOT! We've been having a blast though. I think the highlights for me have been just being able to talk to her in person again. I loved Mo's b-day party/dinner and Grand Lux for dessert after, and going to McCormicks with Jerry, Linds, and Mo on Saturday. It's been a grand weekend.

Went to the Shedd Aquarium today with Mo, Linds, and Jake. Saw some pretty cool fish and an ANACONDA!!!!

Oh... went to my 1st RACO meeting tonight. Should be good. Lookin forward to doing stuff for that.

I broke my camera. So, kind of sad, being that I love to take pics of people. I didn't even drop it. I pulled it out to take a pic at the Shawn McDonald concert last friday and turned it on, and the LCD screen was pretty much shattered below the surface. It still takes pics but I can't see them, and I can't tell what settings for focus or flash my cam is on. :( Oh-well. Things of this world come and go.

Things are going well. Ok.... I'm tired. Goodnight.

So, it's Saturday morning and a lot of people will be returning to Moody today! Wohoo!!! I'm sitting in Katie's room using her laptop because mine is still kaputt. Well, I guess it's fixed and on it's way here.

Being back has been great and hard at the same time. But, more great than anything else. I think I just miss my mom and am sad that I didn't get to go to my Oma's funeral.

My new roomie is a sweetheart. She's from Korea and is very shy. But, I love her, and I miss Linds.

So, one of the girls on our floor is hilarious!!! I think it was two nights ago that we were all in Laura's room getting to know each other. Someone mentioned Bro/Sis. Danielle replied, "What's Bro/Sis? It sounds like a disease or something... BROSIS! Ahh!" And to that, we replied, "Well, our brother floor sure thinks it's a disease, because we have Dryer 2!" The joys of having freshmen on our floor. I love them all. :)

Last night, Katie and Amie sang a Parody of "A Whole New World" in front of 400+ freshmen and OLD Moodies. So, here are the words.... fun fun!

Eternity

This morning at about 6:30 I got a call from my dad.

My Oma had passed away into eternity just 2 hours before. I believe she will see Christ and be welcomed by Him. But my mother is skeptical about that because she only recently expressed having been saved, this being in the midst of her confused state in the hospital. I could hear her my mother crying in the background of the conversation I was having with my dad.

My mom had left my Oma's side the day before. She is so upset about not being there with her when she passed. She keeps telling herself that if she had only stayed one more day she could have been there with her. She didn't want Oma to die alone. But, she did.

Please pray that this is an open door for my family to reach out to our relatives and that God would open their hearts to the truth. And of course, prayer for comfort for my mother would be great. Thank you for going before the Lord on our behalf.

Sight for the Blind

Wohoo... I can see! I got a new pair of glasses today. I am blind without my contacts or glasses. :( Made me think of what it would be to live back in Jesus' time without any kind of visual aide. I would be one of the blind people running after Christ to have Him heal me. A cool and humbling thought. Well, at least to me it is. You all might not think so. Oh-well.

On another note. I have not heard any news of my grandmother's current condition. Thank you all for praying. I will update as soon as I know anything.

So, I've had one full day in Texas already, and I'm not adjusted to the time schedule at all... as you can see- I'm up at 4:50 in the morning writing a xanga entry. Haha.

My trip here was very LONG and at times frustrating. But, I thank the Lord that he got me over here safely. They started arresting terrorists in England right before my flight was supposed to leave so that was not exactly encouraging but, after all, I wasn't worried about it. I sat next to this wonderful German woman and did at least 4 if not 5 lessons of my Philosophy while she was sleeping or watching movies. Anja is such a sweet and talkative woman. She became my travel buddy as we fought our way through the lines and lines of people in Atlanta. In Atlanta, Security decided that no one was allowed to bring any type of liquids in their carry-on baggage. There were tons of trashcans and a table full of drinks, soaps, lotions, perfumes, etc. Crazy! Makes me wonder what Monday is going to be like. I guess people will have figured out how it works by Monday. Haha.

In Atlanta I had a 4 and a half hour layover... which became a 8 hour layover because of a storm. Finally got to San Antonio after 2 hours of sleeping at around 1:15 in the morning. Wohoo!!! I pulled off a 25 hour day with 2 hours of sleep. Lovely.

Yesterday, I pretty much swam in my aunts pool all afternoon. A little pink I must say. :) I think I started snoozing at around 8 last night. The time difference gets me every time.

Alrighty... enough about my trip. I'm hungry.
