I am alive...just a little overwhelmed!  We managed to survive the Thanksgiving adventure and saw LOTS of friends and family.  Miss Ella did extremely well with all the travel.  Although, since we have returned, she has been quite a fussy little girl and she decided sleeping at night wasn't all that much fun.  Mom and Dad disagree.  It just isn't fair to trick us into thinking we could get 8 hours of sleep...only to return to 3 or 4 hours at a time.  Very cruel.

She is a cutie though (check out my new pictures).  She helped Mom and Dad decorate for Christmas and likes to look at the lights on the trees.  I must savor those sweet moments and smiles to get through the not so happy moments

As for our non-Ella related news...
Our dear friends Debby, Jonathan and Josiah are moving to Chicago December 23.  We are quite sad, as we have enjoyed the last 8 years with them!  We are, however, looking forward to spending Christmas with the Goggans clan and then seeing my Mom and brother a few days after Christmas.  Adam is getting back from Africa in a few weeks!  YEA!

First...Miss Ella slept for over nine hours last night and 8 3/4 hours Thursday night!  Quite exciting.  Unfortunately I got a migraine Thursday and only got 4 hours of sleep...but at least I didn't have to worry about getting up for little girl in the middle of the night.

Josh's  party last night was lots of fun.  We had 13 people, 2 babies and 2 dogs and had a great time playing games and eating lots of unhealthy food  We did miss the Chattanooga crew and are looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

Please continue to pray for safe travels for us as we are heading out on our big Thanksgiving adventure tomorrow morning.  We get to see McFarlands, Goulds, Flints and Deghans and travel all across the state of PA and DE.  An adventure it will be for sure!

So it's like Ella has turned into a different child this week.  I haven't held her for any of her naps or had to walk her to sleep!   I've eaten meals, showered, cooked and done laundry.  It's all rather amazing!  This is a good week for her to give Mommy a break since we are leaving Sunday morning for PA and need to pack, clean for the guests that will be staying at our house for the week while we are gone, and make some decorations for Daddy's birthday on Friday.  How I do love a good arts and crafts project...it's been awhile.  By the way, if anyone is in the Nashville area Friday, or wants to trek up from Chattanooga, feel free to stop by for dessert and games at 7:00

We had a great visit with Nana and Grandpa...unfortunately they had to leave tonight to head back to PA  Although it helps that I will get to see them in less than two weeks for Thanksgiving.

Miss Ella is doing alright.  We had a rough time last week...trying to get her to take her naps in her crib.  She had been doing fine at night, but would wake up after 30-40 minutes during her daytime naps.  She would then be overtired, fussy and wouldn't sleep well the rest of the day or night...a bad cycle.  This doesn't make for a happy or well rested mommy either.  So be praying that we are able to help her sleep well and that I will have patience.
