On Friday ( the 25th ) all of the seniors in our school did this community service project called S.W.O.R.D.(Senior Work Out Reach Day) We stained about 30 some benches? And then went on to rake up about 35 bags of leaves. (Just our group though...there were 20 some groups altogether at different locations, doing different jobs) After that we picked up trash along side a road. Pretty tiring...yet very fun spending time with all these people.

By the way...the camera that I use (Fujifilm Finepix A610) isn't all thatttt bad, but once I load them onto the computer and resize them into the only thing I can really use (paint) the quality isn't as good as originally. Is there anything else I can use?

  • Now it's only 19 days of school left! We're graduating in 5 weeks and only have 4 weeks of school left. It'll probably be here before I know it. BUT I'M GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL. this is A-maz-ing.Of course college in the fall but still, I'm so ready to get out of high school

    cap

We got our caps & gowns this morning at school :) :)

And I really doubt I'm going to prom because it's in 2 weeks but while I was shopping with my sister for a dress for her, I saw this dress I really liked and decided to get it for graduation...

    dress1

    And then...even better news...

I had a pair of navy blue crocs that I had bought after Christmas, but I decided I wanted another pair

    green

They came in the mail today...because the crocs store in the mall didn't have lime green so I resorted to ordering them off the internet and having to pay $13.00 for shipping.

regardless of the stupid shipping costs, I was so exciteddd. I love crocs so much hahah.

Only 29 days left of school and then graduation is here, on May 24th. I cannnnot wait

Around December-January, when I realized how sucky it is to work outside in the winter, I asked the grocery store where I work about applying for a cashier ( I was a bagger ) but they wouldn't hire me because I'm not available 24/7 because I'm in school until 2:30 pm.  I said oh well to that, and then two weekends ago, one of the managers from the restaurant that is connected to our grocery store came to me and asked if I would be interested in being a waitress because they were looking to hire one. I said yes because I had actually thought about it before. I started training this week on monday, thursday, and tonight. I really like it, even though I don't get tips yet because someone else is training me...I'm still getting paid what I was bagging, $7.35/hour. That's better though for now, as opposed to the $3.50 something the waitresses get paid.
Butttt, last night after work one of the people that hires cashiers came to me and asked if I'd be interested in it because someone quit. I reallllly wanted it but now that I'm already over at the restaurant and will be making more than the cashiers do, I think I'll just stay with the restaurant :)

I can't wait for graduation, because honestly, high school was not that great, At Allll. And having many people tell me that I'm mature and I, myself also think that I'm pretty mature, I see how stupid a lot of the kids I go to school with are. haha. Of course there will still be idiots in college but oh well, at least I'll be the youngest so...maybe that will make it better? hah I dunno. http://www.uakron.edu/ That's where I plan on going...also living on campus for the first year at least. I think it'll be such a fun experience :)

Are you happy with the name your parents gave you? Why or why not?

Very much so! I have alllllways loved my name!

Even though I don't hear of that many people named Emily, (maybe because I live in a city with only 6,000 some people. hah) according to http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ it was the top baby name for girls from 1996-2006. Ten straight years! hah. I'm not entirely sure that's completely right though, because websites say different things. Regardless, I love my name...really not a specific reason, just because I think it's not as common?

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!
