This chapter of my still yet non-existent music career will soon be over.  Times have changed.  We will then take on a new identity and a new name.  Still in the process of deciding a new name.  Oh, and I got my cousin to drum for me now.  Things are finally coming together even though everything else in my life is not going my way.  Hopefully we can hit the road soon.  The new tunes are rockin'!

A bit of philosophy derived from a conversation:

Your creative side comes out when you create space for yourself.

I tend to pick up a lot of wisdom and knowledge from my surroundings as part of my perceptive nature.

Detail.

It's amazing how much detail can go into each strum and each note that you sing.  There's so much precision involved.  There's a million ways you can sing a certain phrase in a song, and there are many ways to shape your mouth when you sing it to create a desired sound.  How much air you put into it and how you breathe also dictates the quality and/or type of sound you get.  Where you focus the resonance on your face affects tonal qualities as well.  Not to mention, transitions from chest voice to head voice, and vice versa, which are to be considered in discretion of use.  Same goes with the guitar.

I hope I can learn to naturally be consistent with my singing and playing.

It's all about control.

Came back from Santa Barbara today.  I made $10 playing at a farmer's market there.  Pretty cool for my first time.  Got some encouraging words from one lady.  Maybe that was the purpose of the whole trip.

The band finally got together for the first time, all four of us, last saturday.  It was a little shaky since everything's pretty much new, but nonetheless, we are very excited.

Spent almost the whole day today trying to add lyrics to the bridge of a song I've been finalizing.  It took almost the whole frickin' day to get five freakin' words, and two of the words are repeated.  This is the mind of the perfectionistic introverted artist.
