| It's time to lock this up and throw away the key...So here's the deal. I am not going to be updating my xanga anymore, and I actually mean it this time. I mean, this probably comes as no surprise to anyone, and probably because no one actually gives a crap about reading it anymore. I remember how cool I thought it was when I first started it and found everyone I had any interest in keeping in contact with from high school and everything, but all I've really found out is how much those people really don't care about staying in contact. And that's fine, I have some of the best friends I've had in my life by far right now, and xanga hardly has anything to do at all with those. If you do care - chances are I miss you, so call me or something.
In another time, another place in my life this thing was meaningful to me, but that time is passed. All this to pathetically say goodbye Xanga.
For those who are interested I happen to actually update my livejournal...

This was an incredible weekend for football,
with the Buckeyes winning one of the greatest games I've ever seen, the
Bearcats thumping Rutgers (though I wish I could have been there to
storm the field), and the Bengals waking up and beating the saints. I
honestly enjoyed just sitting around by myself, watching football, and
being lazy (though I did do some cleaning and stuff). But at the same
time, I really really can't wait to go home wednesday night. I really
want to see my friends and family, and it's been entirely too long.
Football on friday is going to be a blast, as is seeing friends I
haven't seen in a while. But there's two more days of work before then,
yuck. Oh well, it'll be wednesday at 4 soon enough.
So that's about it. If anyone wants to hang out when I'm home, give me a call or something, cuz I'd love to see you
| "beans lots of beans lots of beans lots of beans"So, this weekend was a lot of fun. I left
straight from work for Columbus, and on my way there I watched someone
buzz around me and then get pulled over which after last week made me
happy. That drive was so incredibly beautiful too. It was in the
mid-70's, sunny, and as I was driving the sun was setting over the
mountains. That's the type of drive you just sit back and enjoy. Then
I got there around 7:00, and had dinner with Jenny and Matt, which was
yummy. Then I remember getting my butt kicked at mario kart (seriously
Jenny, you two are way too obsessed with that game, though Matt takes
the cake) and going to this swing dancing place (see Jenny's entry for
the name of the place, because I'm too lazy to look it up). I kinda
felt bad, because it must have seemed like I wasn't having a great
time. My legs were super sore from lifting earlier in the week, and I
was pretty much exhausted, so I sat and watched and really was content
with that. And I got to meet a couple of Jenny and Matt's swing
buddies which was cool. Anyway, then we went back to Jenny's place,
and even though I was still exhausted, I managed to stay up messing
around on my laptop for a while longer, then finally crashed at like
1:00 I think.
Saturday was sleeping in, grocery shopping, and
watching the Buckeyes put up an average effort against Northwestern
(like 54-10, teehee). Then Jenny started making her pot pie for dinner
and I spent forever struggling with getting the stupid apples peeled
and cut for my first shot on my own at my mom's apple pie. I managed
to slice my knuckle on the apple peeler which hurt pretty bad, and I
still have the red band-aid to prove it. Anyway, Jenny's pot pie was
awesome (and I don't always like pot pie), and my apple pie turned out
great except for the crust being a little burnt (for serious, I left it
in as long as it said, and matt can vouch for it, being my official
timekeeper). And Jenny's brother joined us for the dinner because it
was his birthday, which made it even more fun. Then we spent forever
watching random funny videos online (and laughing histarically). Then
Jenny and her brother went out to try and find the headphones he wanted
for his b-day, and Matt and I had a duel to the death in Worms
Armageddon on my laptop (which he won, psssshh). Then the three of us
spent the rest of the night playing mario party, which was really a lot
of fun even though Matt in the end dominated us. It felt like playing
a board game, which tends to be fun even if you lose (okay, except for
maybe monopoly and risk because they take so freaking long just to get
to the end and lose). That was basically it for that day.
Sunday
was getting up and having an amazing breakfast Jenny cooked with eggs,
hash browns, turkey bacon (just like mom makes lol), toast, and
cappucino. Then we went to church at the vineyard columbus, which I
really enjoyed. I hadn't realized how much I have missed being in a
church service, and how going through a sermon from the internet just
isn't quite the same at all. And I really got a lot out of it, which
was great. I wish there was a church like that here in Huntington.
Anyway, then we made my weekend complete by going to chipotle for lunch
(I love chipotle soooooooo much) and talking for like the entire
afternoon. Then was watching the Bengals disappoint yet again, the
Steelers game, and eating pizza and drinking my buckeyes-themed jones
sodas I brought. Then I had to drive home, which made me sad
So yea, that was my great weekend in columbus. It makes today feel extra mondayish.
| mxpx - lets rock. Go buy it now. NOW!!!
I am soooo exhausted.
I am barely gonna make it to sunday afternoon, but I can't wait to see
my family and get away from that stupid refinery for a while.
