    renovation still in progress. Like The Paradigm opposite KJ school.

    good good.

    well fore today, i'm going to tell you all a story that used to absolutely crack me up when i was...well... a little girl.

    The Story of Stone Soup

    Once upon a time, somewhere in post-war Eastern Europe, there was a great famine in which people jealously hoarded whatever food they could find, hiding it even from their friends and neighbors. One day a wandering soldier came into a village and began asking questions as if he planned to stay for the night.

    "There's not a bite to eat in the whole province," he was told. "Better keep moving on."

    "Oh, I have everything I need," he said. "In fact, I was thinking of making some stone soup to share with all of you." He pulled an iron cauldron from his wagon, filled it with water, and built a fire under it. Then, with great ceremony, he drew an ordinary-looking stone from a velvet bag and dropped it into the water.

    By now, hearing the rumor of food, most of the villagers had come to the square or watched from their windows. As the soldier sniffed the "broth" and licked his lips in anticipation, hunger began to overcome their skepticism.

    "Ahh," the soldier said to himself rather loudly, "I do like a tasty stone soup. Of course, stone soup with cabbage -- that's hard to beat."

    Soon a villager approached hesitantly, holding a cabbage he'd retrieved from its hiding place, and added it to the pot. "Capital!" cried the soldier. "You know, I once had stone soup with cabbage and a bit of salt beef as well, and it was fit for a king."

    The village butcher managed to find some salt beef . . . and so it went, through potatoes, onions, carrots, mushrooms, and so on, until there was indeed a delicious meal for all. The villagers offered the soldier a great deal of money for the magic stone, but he refused to sell and traveled on the next day.

    The moral is that by working together, with everyone contributing what they can, a greater good is achieved.

    ~haha..yea, sure.

  • Seven Eleven O Seven

    This is the 5th time this week I'm contemplating whether i should switch to Blogger. Here I am, blogging about wanting to switch to Blogger. Which i probably never will, so i should probably stop talking or thinking about it, rite?

    a line from a totally bimbo movie i watched recently :
    "That was unbelievable! The thought just flew right into my mind!"
    "Yea, that's pretty impressive, seeing there isn't much space to land"

    hahhah

    Tis day 7 of the 11 days I've coming back for to study.
    Today i printed my notes..heh..P.J. is mighty distracting.

    The past few days were, for me, like Lion-O's pre-Appointment Trials (if you didn't watch Thundercats when you were small you won't know what i'm talking about)(if you didn't watch Thundercats when you were small, you're a loser.hehheh.).
    I have been tested for strength, endurance and patience. Also for wise thinking and discernment, which i think i have been found wanting.
    I have allowed my dazzling, long, flowing crown of glory be mowed into....sob!.....a crop! :(

    no pictures will be revealed, for the sake of my own dignity.

    oh..well...in other news, malls have begun putting up undecorated Christmas trees.
    Tis the season to be happy!

  • psalm 34

    Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left.

    I will praise the Lord at all times;
    His praise will always be on my lips.
    My soul will boast in the Lord;
    let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
    Glorify the Lord with me;
    let us exalt His Name together.
    I sought the  Lord, and He answered me;
    He delivered me from all my fears.
    Those who look to Him are radiant;
    their faces are never covered with shame.
    This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
    He saved him out of all his troubles.
    The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,
    and He delivers them.
    Taste and see that the Lord is good;
    blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
    Fear the Lord, you His saints,
    for those who fear Him lack nothing.
    The lions may grow weak and hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
    Come my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
    Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
    keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
    Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

    The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
    and His ears attentive to their cry;
    the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
    to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

    The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;
    He delivers them from all their troubles.
    The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
    A righteous man may have many troubles,
    but the Lord delivers him from them all;
    He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
    Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.
    The Lord redeems His servants,
    no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.
