My stupid bad...

Ha - Vallery just let me know that I kinda screwed up in my last entry...okay - really screwed up.  I said my sister was ten months pregnant.    Yeah.  Ten months.  Her baby is the size of an exercise ball.  She looks like the blueberry girl in Willy Wonka - except not blue.  Ha...yeah.  So she's only seven months pregnant.  SEVEN.  God's number.  The number of months that is ACTUALLY within the span of NINE.  Way to go, me.

Math was never my strongest subject.

Tomorrow's Premiere

Hey everyone!

As most of you know, I'm psyched for tomorrow's premiere of Beauty and the Beast.  I'm pretty sure I'm ready - I just hope my voice holds out - I can't sing very high as of now, but I've been downing cough drops with Vitamin C, orange juice, Irish tea, antiseptic mouth spray, Vocalzones, green tea, and have been swallowing honey and drinking lots of water...Is there anything I HAVEN'T done?  I dunno.  I guess eat stuff with zinc in it.  Anyway, I know Eric Harvey and Mallory are excited to perform, too.  We performed for an audience yesterday - a trial one of around 150 people - and they loved it.  It was so fulfilling having an audience finally see it - so you have something to feed off.  I know we have a great show because Galen, the actor who plays the Beast, told me that after "Be Our Guest", he's never heard so much applause in the Guild ever!  And that was a trial audience!  It's exciting to see the reactions some of the veteran Guild members have on this production!  I'm pumped!

Anyway, enough about that!  School has been treating me pretty decently lately - not too banged up from all the papers and homework yet.  Physical Science is going a lot better since we got off physics and chemistry.  Choir is going really well this year, too - it's Mr. Clark's best semester, and I'm willing to bet the choir's, too.  We have a great sound this year and Mr. Clark is really handling us well.

I miss Ambassadors...yeah, I'm still in the group and stuff but we haven't had a show for a long time - I feel like our website is dead space on the internet, unfortunately.  It's hard to post on the site and even harder to update it.  I just can't find time - I know what you're thinking..."But you have time to update your Xanga?"  Yeah - I just posted on the Ambassadors website, actually.  Anyway, the Belpre Youth Rally is coming up - we're writing a script that incorporates Express and their songs, too, so we're praying it'll have an awesome impact.

I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving.  Mallory is coming with me - I get to meet my 3 1/2 month old nephew, Talan.  I'm really REALLY excited about meeting him.  And I also get to see my sister for the first time around 10 months pregnant.  She'll be huge!  Plus, I love Thanksgiving at my house.  So...something I'm looking forward to.  I guess the one I miss the most back home is Echo, my gorgeous black Lab retriever.  Sorry, Mom!

Things in the future I guess will be next month me and Amy Farmer are going to a dinner theatre called the Carousel or something and we're seeing "Singing in the Rain."  It's a very formal dinner - her mom paid; and we're really excited for it.  We're gonna get all pimped out, too.  I guess that means a tux for me...  Then of course, in March I'm going on a week-long cruise with Stephen and his family.  His sister Crystal is getting married on the ship - Mama Givens already bought me a green suit or something for the wedding.  I'm really excited for it.

Stephen and I should have a lot more free time to film our movie now that Beauty and the Beast rehearsals are over...so fasten your seatbelts...well, not really.  It's going really slow.  But it'll be good!

Anyway, I think this could possibly be the longest entry I've ever written - however, I'm too lazy to go back in my archives and find out so I'll assume it is.  I've actually had a little free time tonight for a change.  So I'm going to bed "early."  Midnight.  Ha.  I guess I'll catch up later.  Stay true!

In Him,

Eric

Hey all - wow - it's been a long time since I've updated.  I've been busy lately.  The musical is coming along - it premieres THIS WEEK!  A little scary.  My first one...but I'm ready.  I think my French accent is taking a toll on my throat - it hurts to speak and sing high...which stinks considering it's a MUSICAL.  But anyway, I'm excited for it - if you're in the area, you should check it out.  Today we had practice from 1 to 10PM - it was long...during break for dinner a lot of the cast and crew went to an Italian restaurant named Rubis - it was really good - and while I was there I met one of the stagehands, Melody, who works with Guildbuilders - basically teaching acting to young kids - she got my number and she really wants me to consider helping her next year - they'll pay!  So that's pretty exciting.  Also, I've been recommended to the director of the upcoming musical "The Civil War" for a part - I don't know if I'll be able to - I wanna be in the school play this spring - so probably won't happen.  But still flattering, I guess.  Enough about me!

Okay....I guess not....

Things around here are still going good.  Physical Science is a pain in the butt - at least the "teacher" - but that's besides the point - I need those credits!!  The rest of school seems a blur - most of my time is consumed with the play, but also Ambassadors, the movie, and the CD.

Stephen can make songs faster than fire through a cornfield!  It's crazy - he can just....do it.  I don't know.  It's amazing.  I just try to keep up....all of the songs so far I like - and it's really fun because I get to create harmonies and adjust the lyrics sometimes.  And I just like recording.  It's fun.

The movie is doing really good - although it's going slow - it's still really fun!  Once this week is over I'll have a lot more time to film....Our movie's not 10 minutes in and I've already had two comments from people who have previewed a little saying it's the best work they've seen so far - so I'm glad - I was afraid that since I have to rush sometimes to film and edit that it's not my best work.  So it's good...I can't wait to really get into it and start really having fun.

The other night me, Mallory, and Gina went over to Vallery's apartment.  And Casey....I didn't know how to put that - Casey didn't ride with us but it's not his apartment....so thus the "And Casey...."  ANYWAY!  We played Màfia and it we had a blast.  You usually can't play with five people but we're all geniuses so it was easy to create a way.  Ha - no, but really it was really fun.  I hope we can do it again.

Anyway - I've gotta go - need my sleep - I'm exhausted.  Catch up later.

~Eric~

PS - As you all probably know, later is usually MUCH later.

Hey everyone ... I'm not very good at keeping up with this site, but I'm still alive and kicking.  Well, at least ... alive.  Not really kicking cause I'm laying on my bed but ANYWAY.

Things have been good recently...Beauty and the Beast is coming along well - I got my costume Monday.  It's cool but very .... royal....as in violet....as in the costume is PURPLE... BUT not all of it - it's made of satin and stuff but I just don't like purple that much.  And the candlestick hands are made of Plaster of Paris (ironic - in a French play with a last name of Paris with Plaster of Paris on my hands....)  But...the wiring inside of them is all messed up - it's so hard to operate - the wires aren't fixed so my hands fumble around to find the switch and turn the "flames" on.  So I'm hoping they make me new ones since I complained...

Tonight the Ambassadors performed at Grand Central for PrimeTime - it was really good - we wrote a new script solely for this performance and the message was really good.  I hope we can use it in other shows.  All my other Ambassador buddies rock.  They're so awesome...

I've been trying to keep personal God time a priority in my life but lately it's been so hard for me.  I take a busy schedule as an excuse, which is no excuse at all - but I'm starting to do better...so whoever reads this - next time you pray, can you include me in it... I have a prayer journal but I don't update as often as I should.  I'd appreciate it.  Also, Stephen popped his ankle outta place, too...so keep him in prayers.  The guy has crutches but thinks he's invincible sometimes and doesn't use them....ha...only Stephen...

Anyway, today's been a long day and we have about 5 loads of laundry to do and Stephen's not really up to par with stairs, obviously, so I'm gonna go.  Whoever reads this entry, have an awesome week - leave a comment (they're always encouraging unless it's like you suck or something...lol) - and keep me in your prayers.

In Him,

Eric
