道德 vs. 討論

今天,想談談道德。
很怕人在討論事情時把道德拿出來作論點。一拿出來,無論人家有甚麼觀點,一句「道德淪亡」,就立於不敗之地,對方再說什麼也只不過是詭辯。
不過諷刺的是:道德卻是一樣最易被操縱的論點......

Interesting.

Moral in fact is quite a personal thing. Everybody has his or her own moral standards. Keep it to yourself or your family or your kids. Don't use it to judge others as you don't like others to judge you based on their moral standards. Speaking of which, morality can play into judging as well. I just think accept does not equal to agree and they can coexist. You don't have to agree with the whole world's different moral standards, but if it's not yours, and it's theirs and if it doesn't affect you or do harm, just accept there are other standards out there besides yours. Of course, there are certain basic moral standards that should be more consensually agreed upon.

@oberosar - Hey How are you? Haven't heard from you for some while.

Ya I agree with what you say. What I really dun like is somebody coming out and telling others they are immoral.. without discussing the context of the issues. Like you say, we should have consensus upon certain things but such consensus would be impossible if people simple shut the door of discussion by claiming others as immoral
