Wow, it's already been 3 weeks since we moved to Cleveland, Ohio!  Don't ask what's in Cleveland other than the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame 'cause i don't know.  I guess for one thing, there is that huge lake called lake Erie not more than 15 minutes of drive away.  Other than that, it's all non-asian looking folks.  I've never felt like such a minority before.  I think it'll take time some getting used to.

My apartment here is great in terms of size, neighborhood and incredible closet spaces.  It's a gated community with a couple of small man made pond/lakes, immaculately manicured lawns and gardens and very nicely laid out side walks for nice leisurely strolls.  When I get bored, I can literally walk to the mall next to our apartment where Nordstroms is facing us.  I even hit the annual sales event and bought my husband and mom some things.  Poor me, i didn't get anything for myself.  Maybe i'll walk over there today and find some stuff for my self!

Church hunt has not been a success yet.  I pray for a church like Joy or NCFC where I can really feel at home, even if most of the congregation is non-asian.  I went to a non-asian church in college and in Richmond for 10 years, I think I can do it.  Roger misses Emmanuel a lot.

Today, they replaced my kitchen faucet because there was a leak below the sink.  They replaced the old with a brand new faucet but I just noticed a slow and annoying drip!  Now I have to call maintenance again!

Next time, I'll write about the strangeness of Cleveland and people within.  It's all too strange and weird...like Twilight Zone.

6 people to tag

Hmm, I tag Jeanette, Chris and Jenn my cousin.  I think all my Md friends have been tagged so far.

Okay, I wanted to update you all on my move to Cleveland situation.  Roger and I did finally find an apartment to live starting July.  It costs an arm and a leg, especially considering that it's in Cleveland where houses cost 2/3rd of what it costs in Va/Md and NJ.  It's a 4 story building, and our place has 2 bedrooms and 2 bath on the top floor.  Underground parking with 2 spaces for extra money.  And a must, a washer and dryer...I couldn't compromise on this.

The best thing about the apartment is that the mall is right across the street from me.  Nordstrom is the closest store to my apartment!  I have all the stores at my finger tips.  Oh, imagine all the shopping I can do, window shopping or not I'm so close by.  I bet I can just even go mall walking and get some much needed exercise.  Anyway, enough of the excitement because I know I won't go that much.  Even now I live across from a mall and I think that I've gone shopping there a total of five times in the past year.  Really sad.

We'll be moving the first week of July.  Well, Roger will be there already and my mom and I are going to go later in the week after the movers load up on everything.  Oh, let me tell you, the movers cost an arm and a leg!  It's crazy.

I miss everyone and everything here at the east coast already.  I miss my church, friends and family.  I'm praying that God will lead us to a nice church where we can be surrounded by loving Christians like you all.  I miss you!!!

I have nothing interesting to share, except for what has been happening at work.  Work is always hectic and busy, however, I am always reminded of how the work day depends so much on my attitude.  The more pleasant, patient and happy I am, the better I feel, am able to deal with problems much easier and am able to treat others with much better attitude.  Lord, help me be that way everyday and consistently!

For those of you wondering where I will be starting this July, things are still up in the air.  It may be in Long Island for one year or may even be Cleveland, Ohio.  I'm praying that the Lord will direct me and Roger!

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.  -Anonymous-

(G, I'm sure you can identify with this...)

I didn't know what being tagged meant until I just found out that I was tagged by G.  So here it goes...

"Rules of the game:  Post 5 weird and random facts about yourself, then at the end, list the names of 5 people who are next in line to do this.  Also, leave a post on their Xanga to let these people know."

1.  When I was less than 1 year old, my cousin dropped me on the floor where there was an opened can with serrated lid edges.  Tip of my tongue was cut, dangling by a thread, my mom came home, rushed me to the hospital and the doctor sewed it back together.  Yup, maybe that's why I talk so funny.

2.  I was almost kid napped twice in korea.  Thank God that He didn't allow this to happen.  I was sooo scared.

3.  When I was little I used to love shoes (still do).  Well, my mom thought that the degree was unually obsessive, and being a normal concerned mom she called a child psychologist on a radio talk show to ask if I was normal.  Yup, even though I've never been on TV like G, I have been a subject of a talk on the radio.  (By the way, he said that I was normal :)

4.  When I was in second grade, I got all of my friends to brush their teeth with pebbles once by persuading them that it's good for you.  Crazy imagination.

5.  Little kids tend to have objects that they tend to hold onto for a sense of security, i.e. security blankets, binkys, threads, sucking their thumbs, etcs.  Well, I was really attached to touching my families' ears, especially my moms.  I still love it, and thank godness Roger has great ear lobes!!!

Okay, I want to tag......hmm, I can't find 5 people to tag.  Can I tag G again?
