Do I dare disturb the universe?

I have known them all already, known them all—
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons

Hey all, it's me... just letting people know that I havent forgotten you, I'm just really busy. I'm going back down to 40 hours a week rather than 50 as of this week with a promotion to Lead Sales Associate at Michael's, but I'm getting involved in some activism (a national protest against Don't Ask, Don't Tell in New York City Wednesday, it'll be on the news, so watch!) and some other groups Loghann's going to. But yea, all is well here. If anyone wants to reach me, give me a call at 816-813-8663!

alright, so, after god knows how long, I'm updating.

I have a computer now. Loghann upgraded, so I bought her old one. I also have internet because someone around here, probably the coffee shop a block away, is broadcasting an unsecure signal. It's a weak connection, but it works and it's free, so I'm not complaining.

I am right now sitting in my room in my apartment which I pay for, with my roommate Mark, every month. I'm working 50 hours a week in retail, but may pick up a real trade job as a jewelry maker here in the next few weeks.

Holy shit, I think I might be an adult.

Ok, so, anyone who wants to reach me: 816-813-8663. Use up all of my minutes and I swear I will hunt you down and kill you. *innocent smile* of course I'm only kidding. you think.

Well, I've been working way to goddamned much lately, and my living quarters show it, so I'm off to clean my room, and build some more furniture out of duct tape and card board, and pretty much amuse myself and try not to expend too much energy in the process.

Later all
Rachel

Hey all...

Ok, so, news time.

I don't update much, I know, and I'm sorry. But now you are all required to read this post, so muahahaha.

I am moving to New York. Yay, you all prolly knew that.

The date for the move has changed. I'm leaving between the 18th and the 20th.

That's 2 weeks.

Anyone want to make some plans? This'll be goodbye... I'll try to get online, and I'll get a cell phone, but I'm gonna be living on the east coast.

So yea... soon.

Scary.

"Gardasil, manufactured by Merck & Co. Inc., protects against the two types of HPV responsible for about 70 percent of cervical cancer cases. The vaccine also blocks infection by two other strains responsible for 90 percent of genital wart cases. It will be available by the end of June.

Merck is expected to market Gardasil as a cancer vaccine, rather than an STD vaccine. It remains unclear how widespread the use of the three-shot series will be, in part because of its $360 list price. Conservative opposition to making the vaccine mandatory for school attendance may also curb its adoption

Conservative groups like Focus on the Family support availability of the vaccine, but oppose making it mandatory, saying the decision to vaccinate should rest with a child's parents or guardians. It promotes abstinence as the best way of warding off infection by HPV and other STDs.

HPV affects more than 50 percent of sexually active adults at some point in their lives. The cervical cancer it can cause kills about 290,000 women worldwide each year, including 3,700 in the United States."

Yea, gotta love FotF. Fuckers.
