  • Ok so I've out-complained my friends to the limit about this but I still have the urge to vent so I must return to xanga. BUT what is the need for people to reveal details about their personal lives to me????

No, I don't need to know you ran for 3 hours today at the gym. No I don't need to know that you didn't eat the entire day so you have to eat this full sized snickers bar. What? You haven't eaten for 3 days and then decided to eat a 72 ounce steak (slightly exaggerated)? Why do you feel like you have to let me know these ridiculous details? Do I tell you "I haven't showered for 3 days so I decided to pour chocolate milk all over myself"?

I've tried to be nice and supportive by saying "oh wow, good for you" but now I'm starting to think you have alternate motives by disclosing the details of your day to me, most of which I highly doubt actually happened. I'm sorry but I don't have time to resolve your self esteem issues because that role is the responsibility of your friends, your family, your boyfriend, NOT your colleague who sits next to you in class. Maybe I'm too conservative or just a socially awkward person, but pleaseeeee take the hint (provided by me putting on earplugs whenever I sit next to you) I'm just not interested.

  • Being in a long distance relationship is like having your birthday fall on Leap Day. You spend most of your life waiting and waiting to see that special person, which results in a slower aging process of your relationship.

Ex. Elizabeth was born on Feb 29, 1984. Cara was born on Feb 28, 1984. Although they are scientifically the same age in 2008, Elizabeth can claim she is only 6 years old.

Ex. Elizabeth is involved in a bicoastal relationship for one year. Cara lives with her boyfriend for one year. Although Elizabeth has dated her significant other for 1 year, since they have only been on 12 dates, she can claim that they have only been together for 3 months (1 date per week, 12 weeks). Cara however goes on an average of 4 dates a week, so if the same calculations are used (1 date per week), they have been dating for 4 years.

Therefore, being in a long distance relationship may be hard, but the flipside is that your relationship may have a prolonged freshness that prevents it from reaching its expiration date.

  • Virginia Beach 2007

So this past weekend I frolicked down to DC to visit the two coolest people whose names start with L - Lisa and Lynn-. I took the plane down to DC and I was really really freaked out about terrorist attacks. So I traveled Korean Style, aka downed a few drinks at the bar, and I was ok from then on. Ironically when I got home, I discovered that there actually was a terrorist attack at Scotland's Glasgow airport . Then we drove down to VBeach which was very pleasant due to Lynn's surprisingly updated iPod. 5 hours of Lisa Kareoke and we finally made it!! Was bunches of fun, but of course we were all too lazy so there were no pictures taken. I'm sorry Tracy!!!!!!!!!
