The boys are so happy to be outside in nice weather again.

Today I am another year older.  And I am NOT happy about it.  The closer I get to 40 the more unhappy I get.  I could barely get out of bed when I turned 30.  I thought at some point it would get easier.  I really don't like getting older (like anyone does).  I find the life experience to be invaluable yet I am a little cranky(ok A LOT cranky)  about wrinkles and short-term memory loss.  What is with that anyway???  I can remember what was playing on the radio in the fall of 1986, but I can't remember to buy milk?????  I am completely unwillingly to cosmetically enhance anything (too squeamish), so I am kinda screwed.  It absolutely never occurred to me that I would be this old.  Technically, I'm not old BUT I am certainly not young anymore.  At what age to do finally feel you are an adult?  I have been married for almost 16 years, I have two children, I run a business with my husband, we own plenty of real estate, but I still feel like a kid in my head.  Well, for the short term, I think I will have a good stiff drink and continue my march to old age tomorrow.  I apologize to anyone I may have depressed.  And on that cheery note I will finish my sad, depressing, whiny post.
