"Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, and not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science."-Charles Darwin, 'On the Origin of Species'

Genesis Remix - Day Four

And God saw that the land was barren, so He created animals bearing their own kind, declaring Thou shalt not evolve into new species, and thy equilibrium shall not be punctuated. And God placed into the rocks, fossils that appeared older than 4004 BC that were similar to but different from living creatures. And the sequence resembled descent with modification. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

These are great. When is day 5 coming?

BTW, I have a new post up, once again dealing with creationism. I would greatly appreciate your input. Or, anybody else that reads here, too.

I do not believe that all Moslems are terrorists, but terrorism is a logical development of their ideology, which divides the world into 2 camps, Dar al Islam (Abode of Islam), and Dar al Harb (Abode of War).  They know they can't win with manpower and technology so they result to terror.  The last thing you want to do with a terrorist is retreat or negotiate, because that only proves to them that their methods are effective.  More force needs to be used, and we cant let up until they stop, or they are all dead.

Hmmm...maybe Ill write a story about evolutionism.  I already wrote one a while back, maybe it's time to post it.

This kind of metaphor gets people to insist that evolution theory is completely wrong.  Pretty naive, uh?  How do you like reading Why Darwin Matters: The Case Against Intelligent Design?  Would you recommend it?

I can understand being afraid of hell, even perhaps to the point where the fear borders on a type of psychosis.  However, what I cannot understand is the need to believe in evolution, taking into consideration how unsubstantiated and tautological it is, when simply becoming a deist is a far more intellectualy tenable position.  And that way you still wouldnt have to worry about hell or ethics.

[what I cannot understand is the need to believe in evolution, taking into consideration how unsubstantiated and tautological it is]

You're confusing belief via faith and acceptance based on evidence. And the only people that evolution is "unsunstantiated" to are those that go out of their way to ignore the evidence.

[BOOM heres earth and we evolved from nothing!]

BOOM here I am, after being hit by a blunt object on the head! This is why I use lots and lots of exclamation points!!!! It's also why I am willfully ignorant of science!!!!!

A) Still claims human ancestors 1.5 million years ago, even given it being FOX News.

B) The article makes a false concept of human evolution. Not since Lamarck has anyone believed evolution to travel in straight lines. It's long been known that Neanderthal man and modern man lived together thousands of years ago, so the linear idea of human evolution was never that strong.

darape: "And the only people that evolution is "unsunstantiated" to are those that go out of their way to ignore the evidence."

Memory failing? Let's remember some things we established in the past, shall we? 1) The definition of evolution doesn't match up with anything in paleontology. Where's the beef? 2) What started the Big Bang? Again, no evidence--not even a simple axiom. 3) Where is the mechanism for the formation of the first cell? We're waiting. 4) Where are the mutational mechanisms that formed the intermediates? We're waiting. 4) Ok, I'll give you an easier question. Where are the bulk of the fossil intermediates in the evolutionary tree? Gone to flowers every one.

Evolutionists, when will they ever learn? When will they ever learn? "Historical science" is an oxymoron. If you want to claim a big fat lie, make it so far in the past that no one can test your story.

Darape: "Not since Lamarck has anyone believed evolution to travel in straight lines."

What do you mean by evolution traveling? Does it have some sort of destination in your mind?
