 ADVENTURES IN PHOTOGRAPHY

Next week I'm off on an adventure!  I am going to participate in a photography workshop put on by a lovely photo studio a couple of hours away from home.  I'm nervous and excited and frankly: SCARED.  I'm sure it'll be fine but since this is the unknown and I really am inspired by the photographers at this studio I do worry that they'll think my work is crap and they'll mock me behind my back.

Hopefully that won't be the case.

So here's a small sampling of what I've been up to on my Xanga hiatus:

My friend Sarah and her daughter.  This is out of the camera with no editing, I plan on editing out that spot near the child's head where the light is overexposing the image.

An image I took for an online photo contest.

An image of puffins taken at Lincoln Park Zoo.  This required a boatload of Photoshop processing to get the dirty window look out and to darken up the birds to real life color.

FairyM

A montage of Lauren created from a photo I entered for an online photo contest.

Is it possible to be in love with an ape?  Because I am.  Isn't he sweet?

This one also required a boatload of Photoshop to get the colors right.  I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out.

From a photography gig I shot.

I call this: Lazy Daisy

My parents who will be celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary this Thursday.

Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

Thanks for looking through my pictures.  I hope you enjoyed them!!

I thought I loved them all, especially the ape! -- and then I saw your parents. That is a breathtaking photo, I know you know them like your own skin, but I hope you realize what an incredible shot that is. Thank you for posting these, you are quite gifted.

Great photos. I mostly like the ape and the photo of the friend and her daughter. That one speaks volumes. Great photo of your parents, Very nice. Very National Geographic.

You'll do fine on the photo adventure. No one will mock you. See you when you get back.

I have a request regarding your turn for hosting the photo challenge. I received your subject, but since hosts are selected by joindate with the blogring, you'll have to join in order to get on the list of hosts. I hope you don't mind.
