| you all know i only write when something exciting happens and something exciting has happened!!
i went to a theme park today, an hour away from evanston, and i had the time of my life. let me tell you all abt the most exciting parts of the day, that is, riding the roller coasters.
ok, so maybe you know im scared of heights. and roller coasters dont sit too well with me.
today, i sat 8 roller fucking coasters. im so happy. and the best part was how fun they all were and how different each of them was.
ok, so... there was one called "superman", where you're strapped up and then the whole harness support thing is turned so you become parallel to the ground. and forced to LOOK DOWN! so this bugger does all the normal drops, loops, twists, all while youre either lying flat facing the ground from 60ft in the air, or lying on your back looking at the sun rush you by at max speed. i definitely dont wanna be lois lane man, freaking pee in my skirt
lets see what other rides were unique...
oh, hmm... "batman" had us doing the usual routine with dangling legs, "American Eagle" was a backwards roller coaster. Can't see what turn's coming, cant anticipate no drop, basically once you board, youre gone fucks (to borrow from cong). "Viper" was an old fashioned wooden coaster, rickety (i know i spelled this wrongly, somebody tell me) beams and trusses. scary just for that added uncertainty.
by the way, new rating for roller coasters. tim to sufei:" see, this roller coaster not scary. just close your eyes and count sheep. (then as they plunged downwards) One sheep, two sheep, three sheep.... see that was only three sheep." new rating: number of sheep
let me tell you abt this asshole one we did. "Iron Wolf" had us standing up, with this saddle jacked up our asses and the usual harness blah blah blah. so we were all ready for a ride of "thrills and spills" standing up.... scary eh? haha. THEN! on the way up the first incline, the cart STOPS. all of us are like "wait, is this supposed to happen? shit. maybe it'sfor suspense". but nothing happens. so we wait. and apparently, we're stuck. bloody stuck with our faces to the sky, 30 degrees on our backs, possibly pluging backwards if anything suay happens from 30 metres up. 10 minutes. shit! imagine that, stuck on a roller coaster cuz of a technical defect. how do you think it feels, seeing how youre already ON THE FUCKING THING? well, im alive.

mother big one. 4 -5 sheep. looooong climb up to 100+ feet, then hurtled down a 70 degree slope. long long descend of 4 seconds, follwed immediately by a high loop twist banked at 50 degrees 100+ feet high. numerous twists and drops. shiok as chicken curry and hae bee hiam. (i.e. when eating, hot like fuck, sweat like mad, suffer, but still go through it, cuz shiok). that was the most AWESOME roller coaster ive ridden.
well well, that was my AWESOME day at 6 Flags Great America. my head is spinning as i write this, no exaggeration. these days come few and far between here in NU. but at least tonight, im happy.
