| Heartbeat
As I was sitting during prayer today I heard my heartbeat. I listened to it for awhile. Do you know what I heard? ...grace, grace, grace, grace... everybeat was and is a testament to God's boundless and consistent grace. every beat was undeserved and yet my heart doesn't stop. it doesn't even hesitate. grace, grace, grace it goes... a reminder that I truly have no time of my own, that each beat is given to me as a gift - that I do not earn leisure time by working extra hard: that I cannot earn anything at all. My life proves that I am ineffective and ineffecient and yet I have been given the privelege to this time, undeserved.
Then this is my prayer - brothers and sisters lift this up for me if you can:
That if the Lord wills, I will do. That He will be my everything, that I'll make my life an offering. That, from the beginning of each day, I will depend on Him alone . Thanks.
John, remember to live with plans to make the most of every opportunity, every day, every moment "because the days are evil" - Ephesians 5:16
Remember to live with the glorifying God as your sole priority.
Remember to live not depending on future time you don't have. John, you do not know how long you have left. Do not procrastinate. "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth" Proverbs 27:1
