| DO YOU KNOW KUNG FU?
I figured that this is a topic that has infuriated the rest of my fellow Asians, so I will post this xanga entry as a way to vent for all of us. Anyway, why is it that every time I go almost anywhere, and not to be racist or anything, but commonly amongst blacks and hispanics, they always have to fucking ask me if I know Kung Fu. I fucking hate that shit you know that? This past year, I can recall about 8-10 incidents of this happening. In fact over in Boston, the man did not even have the decency to ask if I knew it; the minute I walked into 7-11 he made a karate chop pose with his hands and said "HAIYAH!!!"
On the other hand, I find that these two particular races are very sensitive to racist comments and/or jokes. But they feel that they have the right to make these stereotypes with us, probably because they believe that all Asians are passive. Last night brought me over the edge when I was in my (gay) neighborhood and as I was getting out of my friend's car, these gay dudes were checking me out. They said "MMMmmmMm look at that fine ass Asian. He could be a JABAWOCKEE". WTFF!?!?!?!?
Quite frankly I'm tired of that shit. Every time they make these stupid-ass comments to me I always have a quick thing to say back to them. But I never bother to say it because I just wonder what the point is. If I "beat" them it's just gonna get dramatic or some bullshit. And the chances of me beating them? Practically zero, from what I know they specialize in arguing ("battling", "spitting", whatever they call it). And if they're neither of the above, they can be straight out dense. For example, when I was in Dominica over the summer, one dude came up to me and asked me if I was Jet Li's cousin. I asked him if he was related to Michael Jackson. His answer? "Well, my man, you actually look like Jet Li's cousin, but I do not look anything like Michael Jackson. HIYAH!"
