| " Grad Trip" 
While I am soooo free waiting for dinner now.. let me write sth abt m so-called grad trip b4 I leave NY
It has been my third time coming here in 3 years... feels so different now... (haha, afterwards u wake up, so i have to continue a week later hahaha)
1st time (2005)-- GC program: it was one of my best time in life, so glad that i am chosen to be a global citizen.. learnt a lot after the trip... the sightseeing in NYC and DC actually covered most of the famous tourist spots!! took tonnes of pics as well~
2nd time (2006) -- Spring Break during exchange: 1st trip with you hahah~ very relaxing and had been to a few interesting places! shopping with fd is nice~
3rd time (2007) -- left for NYC right after exam ends, keke~ planned to visit many places at first... but turned out i am 2 lazy.. and i also dun want to go places like Wall Street, MET, UN again by myself. New places visited..
1. Top of the Rock: = top of the rockefeller center (haha only smart ppl can figure it out), the view was nice!! i like the upper manhattan side more~~ maybe coz the Central Park view is nice~~ felt very sleepy like in Hawaii... i guess it's the sunshine ... hehe~
2. MOMA: the museum looks nice, i like the paintings and furniture a lot , esp Picasso's and van Gogh's~ the photographs are nice 2~ but i cant really appreciate the kind of modern art oil stains on paper, pieces of papers, etc.. coz I think i did sth similar in sec sch as well =.=
3. Statue of Liberty , Ellis Island: this trip alone is really boring, but it definitely worth taking ferry to get there.. and i am glad that i could enter the inside of statue.. the view from the upper level of statue is really good, plus the knowledge about how it was built is interesting.. Dint have much time to visit Ellis Island.. learning what the immigrants went through to live in this place, i have mixed feelings~
4. SOHO: the clothes ar sooooooooooooooooooo pretty, I will be broke if i stay longer
5. 5th Avenue: again, too many to buy, too little money to spend.. the Tiffany's shop is huge! So is the A&F shop~
Food that I have tried: too many that I cant describe all of them hahahahahahhaha.. I love the Gyro on the street the best ~~ Yakitori Totto food is very very delicious !! Everyone MUST TRY The Pommes Fries !!  omg the sauce and the fries are perfect!! Ice cream in the Chinese Ice Cream factory, Korean Barbeque place that Rain also visited and Pink Berry dessert in Korean Town, Donburi restaurant, Yakitori restaurant, BBQ and Sukiyaki place jeanie recommended in St. Mark and Brie cheese @ Wholefood market are all very nice~~~ White Castle is pretty gd 2, if it dint make me vomit!! actually most food are nice except the delivery  ! Food tried last time was still very nice : Coldstone, Gyu-kaku, Crab meat Xiao Long Bao @ Joe's Shanghai, etc... but the best food was those you cooked for me hehehehe ~
Places to go next time: Central Park, Empire State Building, WICKED, Brooklyn Bridge (if possible)~~hope the training wont be 2 harsh and packed~
I cant believe this trip has ended so quickly... it's very fun and happy hehehe.. just that I gained a lot weight back to hong kong... wonder how can i lose them after job starts >.< .. pictures to be updated later. Thanks for spending time with me and bringing me to many nice restaurants ~~ hehe~ special thanks to jeanie who travelled from Long Island always to accompany me~~ XXX
Back to reality, I am not really ready to take up real responsibility ... I guess time will help me to adapt~ Cant be so clumsy, silly and gullible anymore... I am no longer a student.. in fact, these 3 years of university education is a fruitful experience... with the best time in Berkeley!~~ i love my piggies more, and i had met some really nice friends in uni~ Hope our friendship can last forever~ |
