This is Capt. Morgan T. Flintlock. I have decided to chronicle my journeys in this here journal for future references. I am heading the pirate ship the S.S. Stampede. My rag-tag crew of shipmates aren't much but they get the job done.

I'll admit I haven't explored all of the seven seas or plundered a lot of loot, but that is what got me starting this journal. Wherever we go we have strange encounters. What them folk would call 'supernatural'. Aye, I never did believe in these things meself till I saw 'em wit me own eyes.

I think it's the Stampede herself that draws the mermaids and sirens following us. Right here in the captain's cabin there be a large jewel stuck into the wall. Green and glintin' as if smirkin' about somethin'.

No matter. We'll go where the winds take us and see what fate has in store for us.
